WHEN TO REGISTER

REGISTRATION BEGINS

March 12, 2025, 8:30 am.

WHAT DOES "RESIDENT' MEAN?

Resident means you live within the Wheeling Park District boundaries. In addition, all children enrolled as students in School Districts 21 and 23 are granted resident rates on qualifying non-contractual youth programs.

If you have never used our registration system and want to qualify for resident fees, please stop by the Guest Service Desk at the CRC and show proof of residency status. Valid drivers license, utility bill, copy of lease or mortgage agreement are acceptable forms of proof.

Non-resident guests are always welcome to take part in programs and activities.

By registering for a class or attending or participating in an activity, or using WPD property, you authorize use of your image or your child’s for Park District purposes without prior notice or permission and without compensation. The Park District is not responsible for images shared by others through social media or other channels.

SWIM AND MOVIE NIGHT

Kids will have a blast swimming before settling down for a cozy movie screening and enjoying delicious pizza! It’s the perfect combination of active fun and relaxation!

AQUA EGG HUNT

Join us for a splashtastic Aqua Egg Hunt! Kids will dive, splash, and search for colorful eggs floating in the pool, with special prizes hidden inside. Enjoy a fun, family-friendly event perfect for all ages and swimming abilities. Don’t forget your swimsuit and basket! Fee includes Open Swim 4:30 - 7:00 pm. The leisure pool will be cleared for start of Egg Hunts.

SUPERHERO SPLASH

Calling all heroes! Join us at the Family Aquatic Center for an action-packed evening of superhero fun. Wear your favorite hero gear, enjoy exciting games, and meet some of your favorite superheroes! It's a super-powered event you won’t want to miss!

FAC FACILITY RENTAL

Rent the Family Aquatic Center exclusively for your group. Enjoy the use of the entire facility with all available water features. A unique way to host a party or event for any family event, graduation, sports team celebration, or company outing!

This program helps you and your child enjoy the water through activities and songs. Instructors act as facilitators and coordinate both structred and unstructured activities to promote water exploration a parent must accompany each child and be actively involved in the instructions. Adults

PRESCHOOL SWIM LESSONS

Ages: 3 - 5 years

These classes focuses on development of motor skills in the water, including blowing bubbles, kicking on front and back, supported floats, and alternating arm scoops. Students are also given structured opportunities to further explore the water while using appropriate techniques and games geared toward the development of their skills. Upon completion of the two levels, your child is eligible to enroll in our Swim School.

SWIM SCHOOL

Ages: 6+ years

The 6 levels of this program emphasize strong technique, safety, and meet the needs of swimmers at any ability level. Students learn to be safe and relaxed in the water while working on core skills in Levels 1-2, start working towards freestyle in Level 3, learn backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke in Levels 4-5, and get ready for swim team in Level 6. Previous participants are placed in an appropriate level, and new students are tested on the first day of class.

ADULT SWIM LESSONS

Ages: 16+ years

Adult Swim Lessons are personalized based upon the participant’s present skill level. Instructors work with participants to improve skills and learn swimming fundamentals.
