elcome to the Cairngorms National Park and the September edition of What’s On, the free events guide. To help you make the most of your time here we’ve put together an essential guide packed with what’s happening in the area. We’ve got some great ideas for things to do, places to see, where to eat and drink, and places to stay. Autumn is just around the corner and it’s a great time of year to get out and enjoy the changing seasons. Get involved with Wee Walks week from the 16th-23rd or take part in the Blairgowrie Walking Festival from the 15th-17th. Watch the competitors of the annual chainsaw competition Carve Carrbridge on the 2nd, a great day out for all the family! On the 3rd see hundreds of vintage and classic cars descend on Grantown on Spey for the popular Motor Mania show. The 3rd also sees the return of the historic Braemar Gathering, a chance to see traditional highland games amongst royalty. The Cairngorms National Park has something for everyone.
