Welcome to the November edition of What’s On
The start of November is always a bit special in the Cairngorms National Park, join the crowds in the centre of Aviemore, wrapped up and rosy cheeked ahead of the iconic firework night at The Cairngorm Hotel…it’s a lovely evening. Remember, remember it’s Sunday 5th of November! The Grant Arms is hosting lots of birdwatching and wildlife talks throughout the month - a fabulous chance to learn more about our precious wildlife and landscapes, and there are Health Walks all over the National Park, brilliant low level walking for everyone to enjoy. There are also Guided Ranger Walks from Drumin Castle, Inveravon Church or Glenlivet Distillery. This is a beautiful time of the year to take in the National Park, to learn a bit from the Ranger whilst getting some fresh air taking in the final golds and russets of autumn. Christmas Festivities are starting to get into full swing - the Christmas Craft Fair at Blair Atholl (10th - 12th November) is a wonderful way to get the Christmas vibes going and Cairngorms Christmas on the 24th November sees Braemar start its festive season…just magic! There are cosy cafes for a warming cuppa, welcoming pubs for a wee dram and lots of live music. The Cairngorms is a special place, let it bring your winter to life this November.
