What’s On in july
W
elcome to the Cairngorms National Park and the July edition of What’s On, the free events guide. To help you make the most of your time here we’ve put together an essential guide packed with what’s happening in the area. We’ve got some great ideas for things to do, places to see, where to eat and drink, and places to stay. Summer is here at last and there are lots of exciting events to take part in. Get out and enjoy the fresh air while learning about nature at one of the many ranger events happening across the Park, from guided walks to pond dipping you’ll find something for all ages. The Cairngorms Ceilidh trail returns from the 23rd July-6th Aug, a great opportunity to hear some traditional Scottish music performed by talented young musicians. Golf season is in full swing with open competitions happening at various courses in the Park, check out event listings for more details. If yoga is more your thing then sign up for one of the weekly classes or even try your hand at aerial yoga on the 30th. Finally don’t forget to visit Tomintoul on the 15th to see one of Scotland’s oldest Highland Games, now in its 176th year featuring well known heavy events and fun for all the family. The Cairngorms National Park has something for everyone.
