hank you for your business through this last year and welcome to our catalogue for the coming season.

Inside you’ll find a full guide to the varieties we grow in our rose fields here in Norfolk; we hope you’ll find it a useful reference tool.

Availability is updated weekly through our availability list. The nature of the rose crop means the broadest availability will be at the start of the season, so if you do have specific customer orders, autumn is the time to fulfil them.

An update on our journey to PEAT FREE, we’re well on the way and will be fully compliant with government legislation when the time comes. Our potted crop is currently 50% peat free using a compost mix which is lower in peat and higher in wood fibre, combined with a slightly deeper bark topping. Our young plant production is peat free as Roses are field grown.

Our aim is to help you sell more roses and keep your customers happy and informed. We’ve a library of images for you to create in-house point of sale or for use in marketing and social

media campaigns. We work closely with Joy of Plants and all our varieties are featured in their database. Bed cards are available for all varieties in our range to help you build an informative, colourful and cohesive display. Bench wrap is also available to brighten early season displays.

Patio roses are a great introduction to roses for new gardeners as they’re perfect for brightening up small outdoor spaces, easy to care for, with a long flowering season each year. They’re a long-lasting, convenient alternative to bedding.

We offer Europe’s biggest range of patio roses but only the very best varieties make it into our summer collection. Selected from leading breeders throughout the world, we look for outstanding performance in the garden as well as the retail environment, to ensure minimal wastage and happy customers.

n Access to a network of experienced rosarians who are happy to help on any rose-related matter.

Members are encouraged to enter their roses into any of the four National rose shows organised by the society in Malvern, Shepperton, Pelsall and Harrogate. Society events and visits to nurseries and gardens are popular with all members and an essential part of society activities.

Membership fees are £10 per year (single, double or affiliate) payable on-line via our website. Payment can also be made by cheque or bank transfer by contacting the Secretar y at; info@therosesociety.org.uk

We want to work with you to maximise your rose sales and offer the very best service • All potted plants are colour labelled. Pre-pricing and barcoding are free of charge.

• Place orders for delivery on pre-planned dates through autumn and spring. Last pre-booked delivery late April. After this point orders can be placed through our availability list.

• Weekly deliveries throughout the UK during the spring and summer season.

• Order our summer collections for plants guranteed to be despatched in bud/colour to maximise impulse sales.

• Images for in-house promotion and social media available upon request.

Delivery is free for at least two full danish trollies to the green and blue coloured areas on the map. Orders for delivery to postal codes in the pink areas are subject to a surcharge per trolley.

Whartons Nurseries are wholesale growers. Orders from private individuals cannot be accepted.

All orders are accepted “subject to crop and to availability”. No liability is accepted for non-availability of subjects.

Every endeavour is made to keep all nursery stock true to name and free from all known pests, viruses and other diseases. Our liability for plants supplied is limited to the replacement of those plants or, at our option, to a refund of the purchase price.

No liability whatsoever is accepted for any consequential loss or damage, costs, expenses, or any other claim.

Delivery and Complaint. Free delivery for minimum order value to most parts of the UK mainland, otherwise at cost­­.

It is the customer’s own responsibility to provide a safe area for the delivery of all items and no liability can be accepted by the Seller in connection therewith.

It is the customer’s responsibility to examine goods upon receipt. No complaints relating to defects apparent upon such inspection will be accepted after three days from date of delivery and in any event liability is limited to replacement of the defective goods. No liability for any consequential loss or damage is accepted.

All times and dates for delivery are given in good faith but are only approximate. No liability is accepted for any loss or damage resulting from late delivery.

Export. All packing, freight and other incidentals relating to export are charged at cost and it is the customer’s responsibility to provide the Seller full information regarding import regulations and permits.TheCustomerherebyindemnifiestheSelleragainstanyliability, costs, damages or the like for the export of items restricted in the country of delivery. Advance payment may be required for overseas orders.

Payment Interest on overdue Accounts. Payment is due 30 days net monthly.

Interest shall be payable on overdue accounts at the rate of 2.5% per month to run from the date due for payment thereof until receipt by us of thefullamountwhetherornotafterjudgement.Thisclauseisnotintended as an offer of extended credit and action to recover an outstanding debt may be taken at any time.

Shouldanyinvoicesbecomeoverdue,creditfacilitiesmaybewithdrawn immediately. All outstanding invoices would therefore be due for immediate payment.

Value Added Tax will be levied in accordance with current legislation.

Whilstmakingeveryefforttomaintainthepricesquotedintheorderform and in any subsequent price list issued, the Seller reserves the right to make a surcharge should unforeseen cost increases force this.

If the customer fails to take delivery of any items ordered the full price of those items remains payable in accordance with our payment terms.

Risk and property Risk of damage to or loss of the goods shall pass to the Customer when the goods are delivered to the Customer’s premises.

Notwithstanding delivery and passing of risk in the goods, the property in the goods shall not pass to the Customer until the Seller has received in cleared funds payment in full of the price for the goods and all other expenses agreed to be paid by the Customer. Until that time, the Customer shall hold the goods to the seller’s order, save that the Customer shall be entitled to re-sell or use the goods in the ordinary course of business, but shall then account to the Seller for the proceeds ofsaleorotherwise,andshallkeepallsuchsaleproceedsseparatefrom any other monies of the Customer.

Until such time as the property in the goods passes to the Customer, the Seller shall be entitled at any time to require delivery up of the goods to the Seller and if the Customer fails to do so, shall forthwith be entitled to enter upon any premises of the Customer and repossess the goods.

References. New Clients are required to furnish satisfactory Trade References and the name and address of their bank to establish credit facilities. Otherwise, orders will only be accepted on a pro-forma basis (payment before delivery) until a trading pattern has been established.

If a customer has an account with one member of the Anglia Group, it is normally possible to open accounts with other members without delay.
