NEXT STEPS
Learn the Basics
Before sharing WGYB with others, make sure you understand what makes our program unique:
• All lessons are trauma-informed, not traumatizing.
• Students practice mindfulness, confidence, consciousness, and safety readiness.
• The curriculum includes both student-led and teacher-led programs.
• Students learn by working together, and being aware, like any good team.
• Our program builds life skills, decision-making, and situational awareness so students can make confident, informed decisions and respond effectively.
• Includes customized Situational Awareness Elements Trading Cards and Scenario-Based Formative Assessments designed to support student learning through hands-on activities and to build decisionmaking brain scripts throughout the school year.
• Customized, teacher-led curriculum and animation via digital access key.
• A We’ve Got Your Back® Home Bundle is available for families and homeschooling parents, featuring digital access keys and resources designed to support at-home learning and family engagement.
• We’ve Got Your Back® strengthens school and family connections by building a sense of community both in the classroom and at home. WGYB is also available with a customizable curriculum for after-school programs, supporting extended learning and student engagement beyond the school day.

Connect with Other Parents
Start the conversation with other safety-minded families:
• Share with your after-school program.
• Form a teacher/parent or Parent Interest Group around this common interest.
• Share the WGYB Summary Flyer, FAQ sheet, and our short introductory video with the group, or one-on-one.
• Even a small group of informed parents can make a big impact.
Engage with your PTA or Parent Group
Share the program through your school’s PTA or parent committee:
• Ask to present WGYB at a meeting and/ or school board meeting.
• Bring printed materials, instructional videos, digital access credentials, and testimonials to support engagement and understanding of the program.
• If needed, host an informal info night for parents.
• Collect parent letters, signatures, and input from the community.
• Develop next steps strategy.
Engage School Leadership
Promote awareness by initiating thoughtful dialogue with school or district leaders. Share the value and alignment of the program with educational goals, student well-being, and school safety priorities.
• Contact your principal or superintendent directly.
• Share research, success stories, and national support with them.
• Provide parent letters, signatures, and community to show their support.
• Have monthly “tune-ups and check-ins” with leadership on the WGYB program throughout the year.
Request a Program Demonstration or Pilot Implementation
Contact the WGYB team to schedule a guided demonstration or explore options for a pilot implementation. This allows school leadership and staff to experience the program’s content, instructional approach, and potential impact on student safety and well-being.
• Schedule a live presentation or virtual demo.
• If the school isn’t ready for full adoption, suggest a pilot with one grade or classroom.
• Our approach can be customized to meet your school’s specific needs.
Engage Families to Reinforce Learning at Home
Strengthening home-school partnerships enhances student success with the WGYB program:
• Organize a Family Engagement Night or community safety event to introduce WGYB to families.
• Encourage students to share what they’re learning with their families to promote dialogue and reflection.
• Support at-home learning with WGYB games, safety cards, the Home Project Guide, and role-play scripts.
• Coordinate with your school to schedule a launch date that includes family involvement.
• Maintain momentum through monthly WGYB messages and family “check-ins,” and WGYB activities to reinforce knowledge, skills, and abilities over time.
