BigBen

The Big Ben, originally called Elizabeth Tower is a 96 metre high tower made by a clockmaker in 1834.

It recently got renovated but is now finally open for visitors again after six years of waiting. After climbing the 334 steps you can see and hear the four famous bells.

This term, the Year 9s created collages of wild animals using nature-inspired photography

First, cut out a paper template for the flags: fold a piece of paper in half and cut a straight diagonal line, then unfold to reveal a symmetrical triangle shape. You can make the flag template whatever size you like (ours was 13cm wide and 16cm high).

Take your chosen fabric and pin the paper template to the back of the fabric and use a pencil, or fabric pen to draw around it. Cut out the shape, adding a 1cm (¼in) border all the way around and repeat with as many triangles as you like.

Take a ribbon of your choice to act as the string, sew (or glue gun) your triangles along it until you have created your bunting!

This fun craft can be as quick or as detailed as you like, now hang your bunting anywhere in your house or garden to add some summer colour!
