& David Baron cut the ceremonial ribbon at Home Instead Senior Care’s new Export office on July 18. Home Instead team members live and work in Export, so they are invested in our community on a very personal level. They believe every family in the area deserves individualized in-home senior care with a compassionate touch. As a locally owned business, they offer friendly, responsive service right in your neighborhood. While the Home Instead franchise network of 1,000+ is international, their office is local. And to everyone on the team, senior home care is personal.

Denise Brinley, executive director at PA Governor’s Office of Energy, cut the ribbon during the official grand opening of the Tenaska Westmoreland Generating Station in South Huntingdon Township on July 31. The $500 million plant, which employs 24 workers, has the generating capacity to power to 940,000 homes. The massive facility has towers that jut some 200 feet above the ground and the tops are visible from nearby Interstate 70. The plant went online in December 2018 and was at full capacity by early February.

Phoenix Rehabilitation and Health Services hosted a 20th Anniversary celebration on August 6 in Mount Pleasant. Efficient, purposeful and cost effective: that’s what Phoenix Rehabilitation believes patient care should be. Guided by the principles of employee satisfaction and quality clinical outcomes, they ensure treatment is delivered in a professional health care environment. They offer a variety of rehabilitative services to help you treat or prevent injuries and disabilities—physical therapy, occupational therapy, occupational health, athletic training, massage therapy, and more. Marquis Smith cut the ceremonial ribbon at the new location of the Marquis Smith Insurance Agency-Allstate on August 8 in Downtown Mount Pleasant. Marquis began his career in insurance and finance in 2002, and opened this agency in January of 2017. He says, “I'm in the insurance industry because I love working with and helping people. I believe treating people courteously and honestly is the only way to do business. I’m committed to helping Westmoreland County residents assess their immediate and long-term needs and choose options that will help them achieve their goals.” Submit Member Moves & Milestones content to tricia@westmorelandchamber.com
