UPDATE Honey Brook Township City of Coatesville The City recently revealed its renovated and expanded new City Hall. The reconstruction and realignment of First and Lincoln Highway intersection has started. The company, Catalyst will design two digital sign boards, with one being integrated into an Amphitheater at First Avenue and Lincoln Highway. The second will be located at the Rt. 30 bypass. The installations will be a source of long term income to the City and provide emergency and public service messaging. Renovation and adaptive reuse of the Lipkins Warehouse on Chestnut Street is underway for an artist workspace and future bistro by the Mark Lane Company.

Honey Brook Township instituted its brand-new Zoning Ordinance and corresponding Zoning Map in September 2018 Land preservation in Honey Brook Township has now passed the 4,250-acre mark Upcoming subdivisions include Honey Brook Estates, Chestnut Ridge Phase I and Mobile Realty 3. New Businesses: Smuckers Fencing, Hidden Vallley Cabinetry and Limited-Impact Home Occupation A Dunkin Donuts Franchise has inquired about a location in the area. Under review is the a four-lot extension to Westbrooke Drive of the McConnell Business Park in the Business Industrial District.

Borough of South Coatesville

An agreement of sale was issued for the former Coatesville Ledger building for a new brew pub/ restaurant is underway by developer, Mark Sherman of Mark Lane, LLC.

The Borough completed new streetlight installation thanks to the Commissioners and DVRCP.

The “Baker” property is in a design phase and will be rebranded “Brandywine View”, consisting of compact single family and multi-family homes.

New recycle containers were received through a grant.

Palmer Park Splash Park part of the Greening Coatesville Initiative is continuing with improvements, located in the eastern sector of the city. A $250K plan was created for Ash Park with a grant from the National Fitness Campaign. The Fourth Annual Coatesville invitational Vintage Grand Prix Review will be held on September 21st. Parkesburg Borough Planet Fitness is set to open in the Borough in the near future. The Comprehensive Plan Update is underway.

They have assigned a new manager for the Borough. In partnership with Valley and Coatesville, the Borough is participating in a Vision Partnership Program Economic study.

West Caln Township The County bought a 220 acre property adjacent to Hibernia Park to add more land to natural space in addition to the Commonwealth which acquired a 115 acre property. The Coatesville Area School District will build a new elementary school for 900 students in West Caln. The Township boosted the farm and recreational land to 4,700 acre or 34 percent of the township area.

Final Friday’s on Main Street will take place from April to October. Memorial Day Parade & Dedication is set for May 19th and Community Day will be held on July 6th The Halloween Parade this year is on October 19th.
