PAYNESVILLE — The Paynesville girls basketball team hopes its experience can lead to a successful season in 2023-24. The Bulldogs, who finished with an 11-14 overall record and a 6-8 mark in the Central Minnesota Conference in the 2022-23 season, return four starters to their lineup although it will be without All-Area Third Team member and AllCMC First Team pick Katie Uhlenkamp due to graduation. She averaged 12.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for Paynesville. “Bulldog basketball is excited for this season with an experienced team and a style of play that is fun to watch,” said Paynesville head coach Jake Heimerman. His staff includes Brad Skoglund, Amanda Ruegemer and Kendra Miller.
