Foundation is set for a big year at MACCRAY Four starters return, including Camden North MVP Brielle Janssen

CLARA CITY — With the return of the Camden Conference North’s Most Valuable Player and a solid foundation, Shaun Condon has high expectations for the MACCRAY girls basketball team. “We have all the pieces to have a successful season,” said Condon, who enters his seventh season as MACCRAY’s head coach. His staff includes Bryce Olson and Dana Johnson. “I’m looking forward to seeing how they come together and what they can achieve.” Brielle Janssen returns to the Wolverines, who were 15-11 overall and 12-6 in conference play last season, as the Camden North MVP. She was also an All-Area Second Team pick and an All-Camden Conference selection. Janssen, a 6-foot sophomore guard/ forward, averaged 18 points, 10.5 rebounds, 5.8 steals, 2.1 assists and 1.8 blocks in 33.6 minutes per game as a freshman.
