Director's Note Dear music enthusiasts, It is with great pleasure and excitement that I extend my warmest welcome to each and every one of you to the renowned FIU Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts (The Wertheim's) inaugural Crescendo Magazine. As the Director of The Wertheim, it is my honor to introduce you to the vibrant world of music, education, and performance that thrives within our institution. At The Wertheim, we foster a dynamic environment that nurtures creativity, innovation, and the pursuit of musical mastery. FIU Music Hour Performances: The show takes place every Tuesday, 11am – 12pm, as a live performance and broadcast in the WDNA Jazz Gallery on historic Coral Way. Cover: Maestro Javier Jose Mendoza conducts the culminating concert with touring music students during the 2022 International American Renaissance and Baroque Music Festival in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
