We have had a calm, purposeful start to this year and our extra class in Year 3 has settled in well. Alongside our new children, we also welcomed a number of new staff to our school community and we hope that we will soon be welcoming some new governors too. We are all looking forward to what I am sure will be a very exciting year and one that sees Wendover CE Juniors improve further still. Improvement works to the school will be starting in November as we expand to four form entry. The programme will provide our children with even better resources and larger working spaces. Our school has close links with the community and, in particular, with our local churches. We greatly look forward to working with our new Reverend, Sally Moring, both at St Mary’s Church and in school. Join us for Youth Café Wednesdays 3-4.30pm (11-17 year olds), Youth Club Thursdays 7-9pm (13-18 year olds) or Amazing Donkey Fridays 7-9pm (10-13 year olds). If you’re aged 13-18 and you’d like to get more involved with the community and make your voice heard, why not join Wendover Area Youth Board (WAY Board)? This joint project with Aylesbury Youth Action, funded by the Local Area Forum, aims to create a sustainable and replicable model of youth engagement.
