Being grateful is like having a super happy heart because you appreciate nice things.

It's saying, “I'm so glad you did that for me!”

Showing gratitude is important. It makes both you and the person who helped you feel good inside.

So, when someone's kind to you, like sharing or helping, say “Thank you!” It shows you're thankful and makes the world a happier place!"

Your friend gives you a pretty drawing they made just for you. What's the best way to show your thankful attitude?

Put the drawing away and forget about it.

Say, "Wow, thank you! I love it!" and give your friend a big smile.

Saying “Thanks” around the world

Paw-sitive Tales Cleo's Grateful Beginning

Once upon a time, there was a special place called the Cat Academy.

It wasn't just any academy; it was a taekwondo school where cats of all kinds and sizes learned to be brave and strong.

One warm afternoon, a house cat named Cleo tiptoed through the academy's doors. It was her very first day, and she felt a flutter of nervousness in her tummy.

Inside, she spotted a wise and kind tiger named Master Chun. He had a long, gray beard and twinkling eyes that seemed to hold the secrets of the universe. Master Chun could sense Cleo's nervousness and walked over to her with a warm smile.

"Welcome, Cleo" he said in a gentle voice. "Today is the beginning of an exciting journey. You're now a part of our taekwondo family."

Cleo's nervousness started to melt away, replaced by a feeling of belonging. She was so grateful for Master Chun's warm welcome.

As Cleo stepped onto the training floor, a kind and confident jaguar named June, approached her. June had a heart as big as the moon.

Cleo's heart swelled with happiness. She felt so lucky to have met June.

Cleo was truly grateful for her new friend's kindness.

Just then, two playful cheetahs named Sami and Peter Jack leaped over. They were like lightning on their feet and had the most amazing moves Cleo had ever seen.

"Hey, Cleo! Want to see some cool moves?" Sami asked with a grin.

Cleo's eyes widened in amazement. She nodded eagerly.

For the next hour, Sami and Peter Jack showed Cleo some incredible flips, kicks, and spins. They made it all look so easy, and Cleo couldn't wait to learn.

As the day came to an end, Cleo's heart was bursting with gratitude.

She gathered her new friends around and said, "Thank you, Master Chun, for making me feel so welcome. And thank you, June, Sami, and Peter Jack, for being such amazing friends. I can't wait to learn and grow with all of you!"

The academy echoed with cheers and laughter. Cleo's gratitude filled the room, turning it into a place of warmth and friendship.

From that day on, Cleo knew she was in the right place. The Cat Academy wasn't just a school; it was a family that showed her the power of kindness, friendship, and gratitude. And Cleo was determined to carry those lessons with her on her journey to becoming a strong and brave cat.

Sports Time Machine Musa Moku

In the 1940s and 1950s, some smart and strong people in Korea decided to bring all these special moves together and called it Taekwondo. It means “the way of the foot and the fist”.

A very long time ago, even before you, there were ancient warriors in a country called Korea. They learned how to fight and protect themselves using special moves with their hands and feet.

As more and more people liked Taekwondo, it spread to different parts of the world. People from other countries learned about it and started doing Taekwondo too. They even started having big competitions to see who was the best at it!

Now, Taekwondo is practiced all over the world! People of all ages, including kids (like you), learn Taekwondo to become strong, and confident.

They wear special white uniforms called doboks and practice in places called dojangs.

In the year 2000, Taekwondo became an official sport in the Olympic Games. This means that the best Taekwondo athletes from all around the world can compete in in big events like the Olympics to show their amazing skills!

Outline the body

Start by drawing a 4 square grid. This will help us place Shawn-Ye's features correctly.

Make geometrical forms for the head, the body and the legs. Use squares, rectangles, and circles.

Add the details

Do the final touches

Inside the head, draw two circles for the eyes, 4 small ovals for the nose, whiskers and mouth.

Add the belt around the waist. Add 2 cylinders and circles at the end for the hands and arms.

Add lines on the hands for the fingers, add the details on the suit (dobok), and add more circles inside the eyes.

Outline and Remove the Grid Go over your drawing with a darker pencil or a pen to outline Shawn Yee. Then, carefully erase the grid lines. Now you have a clear drawing of Shawn Yee, the young lion and Taekwondo student from The Cat Academy!
