Friday Adventures with CCMRD — No school on Fridays? Put your child in the Friday Adventures Program. We will be exploring all around Clear Creek County and going on several field trips! Drop off at the Clear Creek Rec Center between 7:30 and 9 a.m., pick up between 4 and 5:30 p.m. For ages 5-15. $45 per child. Upcoming field trips include: Friday, Nov. 10 to the Evergreen Nature Center; Friday, Nov. 17 to the Butterfly Pavilion; and Friday, Dec. 1 to the Denver Zoo. Clear Creek County Transfer Station holiday hours —The Transfer Station in Idaho Springs will be closed for Veterans Day on Saturday, Nov. 11; and for the Thanksgiving holiday on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25 and 24.

63rd Annual Georgetown Christmas Market — Historic Georgetown, around Sixth and Rose Streets, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 2 and 3 and 9 and-10, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Visit historic Georgetown for a traditional outdoor European Christmas Market featuring craftsmen from near and far. Capture a glimpse at the past as Victorian ladies and gents stroll through the streets and shops of Georgetown. Buy some freshly roasted chestnuts at Strousse Park, watch and hear the Santa Lucia Children’s Procession, and stop in the Community Center for entertainment throughout the day. Chat with St. Nicholas as he strolls through the street. Listen and join in with the street Carolers, and don’t forget to take a horse-drawn wagon ride!
