Ofcers responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of a fake identifcation with a possible underage gambler who had been drinking alcohol. The incident is under investigation.
Counterfeit bill — BHPD responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was booked into evidence.
Contempt of court, public order crimes — Ofcer Adler was dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street for a party throwing rocks. The party was located and found to have an active warrant as well. The party was transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
Theft — Ofcers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of stolen cash out of a wallet. The suspect was identifed and contacted. The suspect was issued a summons for theft.
Theft — Ofcers responded to the Wild Card Casino on the report of a theft. The suspect was located and charged, and the money was returned.
Criminal trafc violation — BHPD conducted a trafc stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The Ofcer released the driver with a verbal warning.
Found drugs — Black Hawk Police Ofcers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of found drugs. Due to 4th Amendment (unreasonable search and seizure) violations, the drugs were unobtainable, and the suspect had already left the scene.

Harassment — Ofcers responded to a report of harass- ment at the Ameristar Casino, located at 111 Richman Street. The victim of the incident expressed they did not wish to press
Purse snatching — Ofcer Adler responded to the Horseshoe Casino for a theft incident. Suspect was located and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
Found property —Ofcer Lopez was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a handgun that was left in the safe of room 1022. The handgun was collected and logged in as found property releasable to the owner.
Lost property — Ofcers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of the lost purse. Ofcers were unable to determine where the purse was lost.
Theft — Ofcer responded to the Ameristar Hotel on a report of a theft from a hotel room. The theft was unfounded.
Counterfeit bill — Ofcers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was seized and a report taken.
October 18
Criminal trafc violation — Ofcers conducted a trafc stop on a vehicle for a trafc violation occurring at Main Street and Highway 119. The driver was given a warning for obstructed plate, and ofcers cleared with a feld interview report.
Theft — Ofcers responded to the Lady Luck Hotel on a report of a theft. A suspect has yet to be identifed. A report was taken.
