Miner Street Trunk or Treat

The Idaho Springs Marketing Alliance and Chamber of Commerce sponsored a Trunk or Treat event on Miner Street for the kids at Carlson Elementary School on Halloween afternoon. Old Navy was haze gray and underway, representing the Clear Creek 2000 Rotary Club and ready to pass out lots of goodies to the kids. This annual event is an excellent opportunity for the kids to trick or treat safely during the day and for the downtown merchants to enjoy the day.

The Idaho Springs Police Department and Clear Creek Fire Authority are always there, along with Old Navy, and everyone has a wonderful time. The teachers and parents accompany the kids, one class at a time, down one side of Miner Street, then back up the other. When the kids return to school, they can barely carry their precious bounty of treats.
