Employee Training

• Front Line Leader Development Program - We recognize that our Front Line Supervisors and Managers are our most important driver of performance and engagement. Our Front Line Leadership program provides new and current supervisors and managers with a toolkit of practical skills and competencies to ensure they are prepared with critical people-leadership skills. The goal of the program is for leaders to increase their effectiveness in managing, leading, and coaching others, fostering an environment to enable employee engagement, improved performance, and increased employee satisfaction.

• Career Pathways - Web’s Career Pathways program is a career development process that creates a more effective way to provide feedback and coaching that will help you reach your potential. Its purpose is to facilitate more frequent and meaningful conversations between employees, managers, and peers.

• On-the-Job Training - Critical to the development of many of our employee-owners is On-the-job training (OJT), typically called “hands-on” training. This targeted approach uses existing workplace tools, machines, processes, documents, knowledge, and skills necessary for an employee to effectively perform the job. This is typically done on a one-toone basis providing practice and coaching in the same environment and with the same tools and materials that is required to accomplish the job.

Web Industries is a 100% employee-owned company, and all of our employee-owners have the opportunity to share in the success of the company. It’s a collective commitment we have to serve customers and share in the rewards of growth.

According to the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO), “employee ownership” refers to the ownership of a company, either in part or in whole, by some or all of its employees—generally through a formal employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) offered by the employer. This type of nurturing environment supports a very collaborative and transparent culture where everyone is pulling for the same goals.

ESOP: A Better Path To Better Results

• Studies have found that employee-owned companies perform better and grow faster than their non-employee-owned counterparts. For example: In one 10-year study, ESOP companies experienced sales growth at a rate that was 5.4% faster compared with non-ESOP counterparts. Overall, 73% of the companies evaluated significantly improved performance after setting up their employee stock ownership plans.

• ESOP companies have grown much faster than they would have without their ownership plans.

• Ownership provides a strong incentive for employees to work productively, and opportunities for participation enhance productivity by providing channels for workers’ ideas and talents.

• When employees own a business through an employee stock ownership plan, it becomes a winwin for everyone involved: the company prospers, and employees have the chance to build equity beyond their paycheck.

• An ESOP can provide significant retirement assets if the employee stays with the company for a significant period of time and the employer stock has appreciated over the years to retirement.
