The Bridal Industry is huge in Jefferson Parish and responsible for Millions of Dollars in Sales and hundreds of jobs. Caterers, Venues/Halls, Restaurants, Bakers, Florists, Wedding Planners, Jewelers, Clothing Stores and other Retail Shops, Printers, Limo Companies, Photographers, Videographers and more are all involved in helping Brides and Grooms celebrate their special day. While there are many magazines and web sites to help Brides, Grooms and their families and friends, we thought there should be a resource guide for Jefferson Parish Brides and Grooms. Also, June is Father’s Day and we have a great Father’s Day Gift Guide to give you some ideas for your dad on his special day. Since it is the start of summer, we also have an article on Kid’s Stuff - Fun Things To Do For Kids to help keep them occupied and out of trouble. We’re also launching a new column, the IJP Profile, where we will spotlight a Jefferson Parish resident. This month we’re profiling Celeste Haar, also known as “The Metry Chick”. We think that the story behind Metry Chick and how Celeste developed the idea and brand is interesting and we hope you find it interesting and inspiring as well.
