Performance and Choreography are the practical part of the course and make up 60% of final mark. COMPONENT 1: PERFORMANCE O Task 1 - Solo performance of 2 set phrases – 12 marks. O 2 set phrases to be performed: Shift and Breathe. O Task 2 - Duet/trio performance – 24 marks. O A performance which needs to have a development of 2 other ‘set phrases’: Flux and Scoop O 4 marks are also awarded for mental skills and safe practice. CHOREOGRAPHY O Task 3 - Choreograph a piece of dance – 40 marks. O The solo is based upon 1 of a list of 5 ideas you choose from, to create a solo piece dance. O This is set by AQA at the start of each academic year.
