THE SUBJECT IS ASSESSED IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:
Unit 1 – An introduction to working with children 0-5 years – internally assessed assignment. Unit 2 – Development and well-being 0-5 years – internally assessed assignment. Unit 3 – Childcare and development 0-5 years – Short answer examination. All units are graded A*- D.

Level 2 Award in Child Development and Care has been designed to meet your needs, if you wish to work with children in the childcare sector. It includes the knowledge and understanding of child development and well-being necessary when preparing for working with children in a variety of settings. It directly prepares you for the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Technical Diploma in
Childcare and Education (EYE) in the 6th form.
