NORTHAMPTON TOWN YOUTH TEAM JACK CONNOR
UNDER 18S END SEASON WITH DRAW AT BRISTOL ROVERS
J
NORTHAMPTON TOWN UNDER 18S ENDED THEIR EFL YOUTH ALLIANCE MERIT LEAGUE TWO C A M PA I G N W I T H A 2 - 2 D R AW AWAY TO BRISTOL ROVERS.
amari Hart and Jack Connor scored the Cobblersā goals as they ended the second stage of the season in fourth place on 14 points. Coach Shane Goddard was pleased with his sideās performance despite not ļ¬nishing the campaign with a win. āWe worked so hard, created lots of chances and played some of the best football weāve played this season today,ā he said. āIt was really pleasing to see the boys get the ball down and make positive decisions.
āIt was a competitive game to ļ¬nish the season which is a massive credit to both teams. āIt was just about the ļ¬ne margins, because we hit the post and their goalkeeper made some really good saves. āWe limited them to a couple of clear-cut chances, and weāll probably look back and think we could have done more to stop them from scoring. āItās frustrating that we conceded in added time and didnāt end the season with a win that I feel we deserved. āWe did enough to win the game,
other than take the chances to win it, which has been the story of our season. āBut I canāt fault the boysā eļ¬ort and work rate today, and itās a positive performance to end the year with.ā Cobblers: James Dadge, Brad SmithHowes, Josh Tomlinson, Reece Irwin, Jamari Hart, Dylan Hill, Reuben Wyatt, Peter Abimbola, Kai OāKeeļ¬e, Jack Connor, Miguel Ngwa Substitutes: Marcus Bald, Conor Thomas, Harry Guess by James Wiles
