S SPONSOR JOCKEY

Tom Buckley (3) J Paul Nicholls, Ditcheat T Owners Group S TIMEFORM VIEW Showed definite promise over hurdles last year and dispelled a couple of lesser displays to come out on top in a maiden here (21.5f) in May, that despite a less-than-convincing round of jumping. Similar form when third back in handicap company 3 weeks ago and he’s fancied to be in the mix. TFRHHHHI BHA110

Br Ch g New Approach (IRE) - Majestic Manner O Mr Bill Hawkins B Rabbah Bloodstock Limited

Ciaran Gethings J Alastair Ralph, Bridgnorth T Planned Office Interiors Ltd S TIMEFORM VIEW Off the mark at the fourth attempt over hurdles at Thurles in March but has failed to kick on from that, tailed off on first start since leaving Denis Hogan after a couple of months off at Uttoxeter 3 weeks ago. Tough to make a case for on that evidence. TFRHHIII BHA109

Br B g Golden Horn - Whipped (IRE) O ValueRacingClub.co.uk B Forenaghts,Tinnakill,Colts Neck Stallion

David Noonan J David Pipe, Wellington T W & S Recycling S TIMEFORM VIEW Won a brace of staying handicaps on the level last summer and has taken well to hurdling, making it second time lucky over hurdles at Worcester last month, winning in the style of one who’ll go on to better things. Leading player with further improvement on the cards. TFRHHHHH BHA111

RACE FIVE

Mr Lewis Gordon (7) J Evan Williams, Llancarfan T Tote S TIMEFORM VIEW Long-standing maiden who put in a rather typical performance when fourth over fences at this track last month, keeping on gradually. Back down in trip/over hurdles and likely to find a couple too strong. TFRHHHII BHA101

Br Ch g Arakan (USA) - Blow A Gasket (IRE) O Mrs L. R. Lovell B M. Phelan

Tom O’Brien J Philip Hobbs, Minehead T Philip Hobbs Racing S TIMEFORM VIEW Possesses plenty of ability but he was far too headstrong to post and in the race on reappearance when fourth at Uttoxeter just over 6 weeks ago. No surprise to see him involved provided he has learnt to race more efficiently. TFRHHHII BHA104

DECLARED RUNNERS 5 2021: OSCARS FAME (IRE) 7 10 11 Harry Kimber 13-2 (Bill Turner) 10 ran Tongue Strap worn by No. 2, 3. Sheepskin Cheek Pieces worn by No. 1. Stewards Note: KANUKANKAN: Following its run on 2/6/2022 it was reported that the horse ran too freely. Probable S.P.’s: 6-4 Nibras Gold (IRE), 9-4 Gaulois (FR), 6-1 Kanukankan (IRE), 9-1 Heronord (FR), 10-1 Mankhool (IRE) PLAY SMARTER

A few in with chances but NIBRAS GOLD has made a bright start to his hurdling career and he gets the nod to supplement his recent success at Worcester with further improvement on the cards. Gaulois shed his maiden tag at this track in May and he’s sure to give the selection plenty to think about back in novice company, while Kanukankan also has the ability to feature provided he’s learnt to race more efficiently.

TIMEFORM PREDICTION: 1.NIBRAS GOLD (IRE) 2.GAULOIS (FR) 3.KANUKANKAN (IRE)
