Our first race the 69 Club Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle saw 5/1shot How’s The Cricket beat 12 rivals. Travelling strongly and towards the rear he made good headway, chasing the leader going easily before 2 out. Shaken up at the last and pushed along he won cosily for jockey Bryan Carver and trainer Harry Fry. The second race of the day, the Happy Birthday Tosia and Lily Handicap Hurdle was won easily by West To The Bridge, trained by Dan Skelton and ridden by Mr Tristan Durrell. The 11/10 favourite who won by an impressive 10 lengths didn’t always jump with fluency but made all going clear before 2 out.

The Sky Sports Racing On Sky 415 Mares’ Maiden Hurdle saw 4 9 runners go to post. The 4/1 winner Whisky Express, the second winner on the day for trainer Harry Fry and ridden by Sean Bowen was held up behind the leaders but was then eased into second place 3 out. The 6 year-old mare was shaken up and pushed along to go clear when approaching the last to beat her rivals.
