Hamilton Park Racecard - Wednesday 8th June

WELCOME Good evening and welcome to Hamilton Park for what is set to be an excellent evening of competitive racing. We hope you and your guests have a fabulous evening with us.

We have a great seven race card this evening starting with our first Amateur Riders race of the season. With a strong field of 10 declared, some of the UK’s leading Amateur Riders are lined up to ride in this race and it should prove an intriguing contest.

Serena Brotherton is one of the UK’s top Amateur Jockeys and she regularly rides in races alongside a part-time job as a solicitor and has over 130 winners to her name. Her riding career has given her the opportunity to ride in races in Morocco, Australia, France, Germany, Hungary, Malaysia, Peru and Spain.

Serena rides Marwari for Michael & David Easterby, but could face strong challenges from the four course and distance winners in the field – Elladora, Hard Solution, Muatadel and Dirchill.

We also welcome leading Jockey Hollie Doyle for her first visit to Hamilton Park since 2020, fresh from placing third in the Group 1 Cazoo Oaks at Epsom on Friday onboard Nashwa. Hollie rides Teresa Grace in the 6.20pm and Fly to Glory, who is at the top of the weights in the Bet at Racingtv.com Handicap at 7.50pm over six furlongs.

Renfrewshire-based trainer Jim Goldie is enjoying a fantastic run of winning form, not least with Shine on Brendan who will be looking to make it a hat-trick of Hamilton Park wins this season for Owners Let’s Be Lucky Racing 29 in the 6.50pm contest over a mile.

Next week we see Royal Ascot take centre stage in the racing world, but don’t forget we race ourselves here at Hamilton Park next Wednesday and then again the following Thursday when it is our big charity evening of the year, Indigo Unified Comms Saints & Sinners Racenight.
