Welcome back to Bangor-On-Dee Racecourse for our most glamorous fixture of the year – Ladies Day

Today is a chance for racegoers to dress up and enjoy a great day of racing. The competition won’t just be on the track today, with all guests invited to take part in our best dressed competition, kindly sponsored by Clogau.

We have a full card of 8 races beginning at 1:40pm with The AceOdds Bonus Codes Conditional Jockey’s Handicap Hurdle (DIV I) Race. HOW TO BET WITH A RACECOURSE BOOKMAKER

WAYS TO BET STRAIGHT

Win only

EACH WAY

A bookmaker taking each way bets will display the terms on which he/she accepts such bets on the top of his/her board. This is a bet for your selection to win or be placed.

STANDARD TERMS FOR EACH WAY BETTING

In conjunction with The RCA, the bookmakers have introduced standard each-way terms. Bookmakers will provide these terms, or better, when offering each-way betting.

· Fewer than 5 runners – all to win

5-7 runners – 1/4 odds a place 1-2

· 8 or more runners – 1/5 odds a place 1-2-3

Handicaps with 12-15 runners – 1/4 odds a place 1-2-3

· Handicaps with 16 or more runners – 1/4 odds a place 1-2-3-4

AWAY BETTING

Many bookmakers will also take bets at the other race meetings today. They offer a comprehensive service, including bets settled TAX FREE at Starting Price (S.P.)

BETTING WITHOUT THE FAVOURITE

At reduced odds you can back a horse and collect if it wins or runs second to the horse nominated by the bookmaker as favourite.

PLACING YOUR BET

Shop around for the best odds against your selection. When you have decided on where to place your bet, state the number of your chosen horse and the stake, for example “number 4, £2 win”. Listen to the bookmaker repeat the number of the horse and the stake to his/her clerk and hand your stake to the bookmaker You will then be given an itemised receipt that gives details of the bet and shows potential winnings. You should keep this ticket safe.

COLLECTING YOUR WINNINGS

If your selection wins (or, in the case of a place bet, is placed), hand the ticket back to the bookmaker for settlement. NEVER destroy your ticket until after the “Weighed In” announcement has been made. There may still be a Stewards’ Enquiry and the first past the post, or placed horses, may be disqualified. On rare occasions even the horse coming fourth has been awarded the race You may bet with confidence with any bookmaker as they have all been approved by the Administration of Gambling on Tracks Ltd, which administers the betting rings at each of Britain’s 60 racecourses. The AGT also offers a full late pay service, in case a bookmaker leaves the course before you have collected your winnings.

The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability

The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions. A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances).

The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed. Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.

That form has worked out well, with the winner going on to record back-toback victories subsequently, so he must hold every chance of going one better from a 3lb raised mark. Fine By Me, who won a division of this race last year, hasn’t been seen for 288 days but the unexposed six-year-old could play a leading role on his return, while Rostello heads the remainder

Sinndarella finished a creditable second at Cartmel last time out and she merits respect on the back of that effort, but preference is for SUNSHINE GIRL. Gary Hanmer’s new recruit found improvement when stepped up to an extended 3m at Southwell last month, where she was comfortably on top at the finish. Given that she’s unexposed over staying trips, a subsequent 4lb rise doesn’t look beyond her Buto is fancied to chase the pair home.

MAYS HILL has yet to add to her Fontwell bumper success, but the daughter of Kayf Tara looks sure to appreciate a step up in trip having kept on for third at Uttoxeter last month. Fergal O’Brien’s charge is taken to repel the likely challenge of Flora Paget, who sets the standard on official ratings and is eased back into maiden company Hedera Park and On Cloud Nine are others who merit consideration.

Clody Flyer was second at Southwell last time and he has been left on the same mark, but he does take a step into the unknown over this trip, so INCA PRINCE just shades the vote. The son of Fast Company takes a drop in class after finishing fifth at Aintree in May and he ought to go very close off the same rating. Oslo warrants a market check as he returns from a long absence.

Mr Mafia returned from a 241-day break to be victorious at Newton Abbot last month and he has to be respected off a 2lb higher mark. That said, this is tougher and

TOPOFTHECOTSWOLDS looks the one to be with. The nine-year-old filled the runner-up spot at Worcester on his latest outing, when well clear of the third, and he looks sure to go close well just 1lb higher Honey I’m Good should not be dismissed as she seeks a hat-trick.

FANDABIDOZI ran well at Worcester last time when finishing third, despite losing a shoe, so that performance could arguably be marked up. COEUR AIMANT made a promising return to action when filling the runner-up spot over 2m at Uttoxeter last month. Given that was also his first run since wind surgery, he is fancied to improve, despite being 5lb out of the handicap. Eagle’s Realm looks his most serious danger following a creditable second over 1m6f on the Flat last month, while Forever A Dove heads the remainder

An emphatic winner over an extended 2m3f at Stratford last month, Gold Link must enter calculations dropping back in distance. However, he does have to shoulder a 7lb penalty, so GETAWAY LUV shades the vote. Lizzie Quinlan’s inmate bolted up over this trip at Cartmel most recently and a 7lb rise looks unlikely to hold him back. Stumps Or Slips is another to consider now 8lb higher for his most recent success.

All badges, car park labels and hospitality packages are sold subject to these terms and conditions.

FORCE MAJEURE

1 The company shall not be liable to the racegoer for any failure or omission or breach caused by an event or events beyond the control of the company such as but not limited to war, civil disturbance, order of a Government Ministry or department or public authority, fire, flood, natural catastrophe, royal demise, labour dispute, lock-out, withdrawal of labour or breakdown or interruption of services or transport (public or otherwise) or death or illness of a key person.

1.1 Upon the happening of such an event the obligations of the company and any period of time then running shall be suspended for the period of the event plus such time as may be required to resume normality.

1.2 Such an event shall not entitle the racegoer to take any steps against the company for breach or to terminate the agreement or otherwise

PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE RACEMEETING

2 Where badges, car park labels or hospitality packages are sold for a specified area of the Racecourse, the Company will use its best endeavours to ensure that the specified area is available for use at the specified time If however the specified area cannot be used, for reasons not within the control of the Company, then the Company shall be entitled to offer a reasonable alternative. If no alternative is offered by the Company the customer will be entitled to a full refund of all monies received from him or her by the Company.

3 Refunds, other than those covered by clause 2 immediately above will not be considered unless badges/labels are returned to the racecourse, not less than 7 days prior to the race meeting and successfully resold. All refunds will be subject to an administration charge of 15% of the total refund.

4 The climbing of fences, stands or any other buildings is forbidden.

5 Any person failing to comply with instructions from a steward or police officer may be ejected from the Racecourse.

6 Please observe the designated no drinking areas. Alcoholic beverages must not be carried to or consumed in these areas.

7 Amateur photography is accepted but only without flash equipment.

8 Portable telephones may not be used anywhere on the Racecourse for betting purposes. Flags, banners and other articles and any behaviour such as drunkenness, abusive conduct, singing or shouting which may constitute an annoyance to spectators or distract or frighten the horses are prohibited.

9 Transfers between enclosures may be possible on the day, subject to availability.

10 Parking or setting down on the site is prohibited, other than at the official car parks.

11 Lost or stolen badges will not be replaced.

12 Hospitality badges are sold on the understanding that no money in respect of unused badges will be reimbursed.

13 Subject to the provisions of clause 1 which shall prevail over this clause, in the event of abandonment before racing, or up to the “Weighed-In” of the first race there will be a full refund of badge and car parking costs. In the event of abandonment after the “Weighed-In” of the first race up to the “Weighed-In” of the third race or nominated feature race, whichever is later there will be a 50% refund of badge and car parking costs. In the event of abandonment thereafter there will be no refunds. No cash refunds to be paid on the day. All refunds to be administered after the meeting by post.

Where any customer is entitled (pursuant to clause 13) to any refund, in order to qualify for such refund the customer must follow the procedure listed opposite:

13.1 Make a note of the reference numbers of all badges and car park labels (these numbers will be found on the front of each badge or label).

13.2 Send the badges, and/or labels along with a covering letter stating the full name and address of the sender and, if different from that of sender, the full name and address of the purchaser of the badges or labels to: Refund Office, Chester Race Company Limited, The Racecourse, Chester, CH1 2LY. To be valid, requests for refunds must be received in writing within one month of the abandoned raceday. The Company shall have no responsibility or liability of any nature in respect of any refund request received after that time

14 All persons visiting the Racecourse are admitted subject to these Regulations and to the Rules of Racing. The Management reserves the right to refuse admission to/or to remove from the Racecourse, in its absolute discretion and without giving any reasons, any person failing to comply with such Rules and Regulations or whose presence is, in its absolute discretion, a source of danger or annoyance and shall have no obligation to give any reason therefore.

15 The Company shall in no circumstances be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense or any consequential or indirect loss or damage of any kind.

16 The Horserace Betting Levy Board prize fund schemes provide for the estimated inclusion of 126,906 in ratecard and incremental prize money at this racecourse from May to August 2023.

17 It is a condition of entry that only individuals possessing a valid betting badge and occupying an authorised pitch are entitled to lay bets. Anyone contravening this condition will be evicted.

EVACUATION PROCEDURE

18 Bangor Racecourse has enhanced Safety & Security measures to ensure your safety, comfort and enjoyment of the day. However, an incident may occur which is beyond our control and it is important that you are aware of how we intend to look after you in the event of an emergency.

We employ professionally trained and experienced stewards who are located predominantly around the course and are identifiable by their uniform.

In the event of a situation that requires partial or full evacuation of the stands or racecourse, announcements will be broadcast and stewards will undertake the responsibility of ushering you to a place of safety; it is essential that you follow their instructions. Please take your immediate belongings with you and proceed out of the area quickly and calmly with the guidance of the stewards.

The above is precautionary only and we trust that the procedures will never be required. However, in the event of an emergency, remember:

• Take your belongings with you;

• Under the directions of the stewards, proceed quickly and calmly to the safe area.
