Having been in operation for 30 years, the business already had an established brand. However, it was being used with little precision or understanding throughout the business and various versions of the dated logo were floating around. Various team members were creating documents in silo and there was a lack of cohesion and centrality to this.
We underwent a complete rebrand with Phelan, starting with refining the logo and then working our way through all touchpoints of the business, starting as a priority with the sales documents such as capability documents, presentations, tender documents and brochures.
Phelan regularly won many industry awards and we worked closely in the submission of these entries, providing them with collateral and campaigns that would help to create a strong case for becoming winners. On one occasion we attended the awards judging day and pitched their case to
the panel, championing our many campaigns and their successes.
As time progressed, we worked increasingly closely with the in-house sales and marketing teams to develop market-leading tender documents. We examined the design of these, reviewing the visual communication of CVs, organograms, methodology diagrams and site plans. We explored cutting-edge technology to provide Phelan with the opportunity to position themselves in line with Tier One contractors in their tender documents.
We worked closely with Phelan on multiple events, providing them with support in event management and logistics planning, graphic design and marketing collateral, copywriting, photography and videography, social media updates, and attending the events on behalf of Phelan as representatives of the business to speak with key clients and passing traffic. On all occasions we were praised for how hard-working and committed we were.

Business: Public sector funded project supporting the construction industry
I-Construct is run by the Haven Gateway Partnership and supports SMEs to innovate and grow within the construction sector using industry mentoring, networking opportunities and ERDF grant funding.
In 2020, Built was awarded a two-year contract with I-Construct to work as their chosen design and communications agency.
I-Construct’s master logo was designed to reflect the company’s core values of being
innovative, forward-thinking collaborators who make connections within the construction industry.
Throughout the brand we used pattern as a prominent graphical element to represent innovation and collaboration as part of the company. We also created a set of icons and bespoke image style guidelines to be used throughout company collateral and ensure brand consistency.

When we first met with Collier & Catchpole, they were looking for a creative and strategic marketing agency who could help them implement and develop their marketing strategy for the future.
We worked with Collier & Catchpole to develop a considered marketing strategy that worked with the business budget, seasonal trends, and their long-term ambitions. Our plan coverered social media across multiple platforms, public relations work, website development, in-store events, marketing collateral, signage, promotions, community awareness work, charitable endeavours, photography and videography, and customer research.
As a successful RIBA chartered multidisciplinary architectural practice, DAP Architecture has grown over the years and now, thanks to a merger with Peter Emptage Architects, are looking towards a future of further growth. Such a big change, coupled with their aim to continually develop through creativity, innovation, and collaboration, meant they were ready for a new identity and Built were the team to take them on this journey.
Built worked with the directors at DAP Architects to take them on a brand
evolution, changing for the better to demonstrate the creativity, innovation, and collaboration they work towards every day as the studio grows in size and capacity.
Taking the practice through the consultation and create phases, Built collaboratively worked through the naming process and created a visual identity to reflect the company brand values. Strategically using the company’s goals and vision to align with the identity, Scene Architects was created.
The custom website was developed to stand out and engage users to explore the meaning of the practice and showcase a spectrum of work. Built supported the entire rebrand through to the launch event and social media amplification to position Scene Architects in the marketplace.
The brand is bold and punchy whilst consecutively allowing the projects and services offered by the client to stand out for themselves.

Premier Drainage Solutions worked with Built to set four clear objectives: lead generation, retention of existing clients, increasing brand awareness, and improving the company’s online presence.
We redesigned and rebuilt a new website for Premier Drainage Solutions that improved the user experience and allowed us to work on further SEO optimisation improvements to increase leads.
Our team optimised the site and identify PPC keyword opportunities to improve ranking and lead generation.
