A Message from the President

As President and CEO of Wealth Watchers Inc., I recognize the nonprofit sector continues to evolve and change in a time when the demand for services far exceeds available resources. The organization must continue to position itself to meet the growing demand. Wealth Watchers must also be that focal point to building and rebuilding communities as well as strengthening the connection between social capital and economic development.

Wealth Watchers believes in being an inspiring and optimistic organization. We are finding innovative ways to help our clients be successful through homeownership education, real estate development, community building and engagement, small business services and workforce development.

We are committed to positively impacting those who need our services. We strive to be that support system for individuals, families and small businesses as they achieve their goals.

We appreciate your support as we host our annual luncheon to honor our partners and individuals who have built a legacy around creating homeownership opportunities for everyone. Our theme this year is “Creating Pride, Wealth & Equity.”

About Wealth Watchers Inc.

Wealth Watchers Inc. is a HUD-certified Housing Counseling and Community Development Organization formed as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) in December of 2001. The formation of the nonprofit was a result of a series of meetings of local, financial service professionals who believed that education was the foundation for financial success as well as community and economic stability. Based in Jacksonville with services available throughout Florida and Georgia, its staff is committed to providing a cyclical approach to building wealth among citizens.

Programs & Services

Wealth Watchers Inc. believes diverse quality housing should be available to everyone. We help neighbors navigate through the homebuying process by providing homeownership education, workshops, counseling and more. We also provide foreclosure prevention counseling for homeowners who are experiencing a financial hardship that makes it difficult to meet their mortgage payment obligation.

Our team of experts provides counseling and leads workshops that include a combination of virtual classroom trainings and individual advisement that meet lender, builder, down payment assistance programs and homebuyer education requirements.

Becoming a homeowner can be a daunting process, but it is not impossible. Wealth Watchers helps residents attain the goal of having the American dream – homeownership.

June is National Homeownership Month

June is National Homeownership Month. It is a time to celebrate the importance of owning a home and the impact it has on the lives of American families, local communities and the nation’s economic health.

Many consider owning a home to be the American dream. It is usually a person’s biggest financial investment. The positive impacts of homeownership can be seen in families, the community and the country as a whole.

National Homeownership Month showcases homeownership as a source of economic strength and the commitment to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to become homeowners, especially BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) populations.

The national spotlight on homeownership began as a weeklong recognition in 1995 as a strategy of former President Bill Clinton’s administration. It was first proclaimed to last an entire month in June 2002 under former President George W. Bush.
