On behalf of all of us at Wichita Collegiate School, I’m delighted to welcome you to the 2025–26 Activities Guide.
Since our founding in 1963, Collegiate has grown into a joyful community of nearly 1,000 students, spanning preschool through Grade 12 on our 42-acre campus. What makes this place special isn’t just the academics or the activities—it’s the way every student is known, cared for, and encouraged to discover their strengths and passions.
Our campus truly feels like home. Whether you are a student, parent, alum, or friend of the school, you’ll find a community that values connection, curiosity, and kindness. Alongside our tradition of academic excellence, we are proud of the many ways our students can get involved—through the arts, athletics, debate, science, service, and so much more. These experiences help shape not only what our students can do, but who they become.
Just as important, we believe in competing and performing with character. We want every game, match, or performance to be a reminder of the values that guide us—humility in victory, grace in defeat, and respect for one another. In moments like these, we see the best of what it means to be a Collegiate Spartan.
I hope this guide helps you discover all the opportunities to support, celebrate, and enjoy the year ahead with us. Thank you for being part of our community—it wouldn’t be the same without you.
Warm regards,
Nathan Washer Head of School
Welcome to game day! On behalf of our entire athletic department, I would like to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to all our students, families, alumni, and guests. Whether you are a proud parent, a loyal supporter, or visiting us for the first time, thank you for being part of today’s event. Your presence brings energy, excitement, and a sense of community to the spirit of competition.
At Wichita Collegiate School, athletics is much more than the games we play. It is an extension of the classroom where lessons of teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship, and character are learned every day. Our student-athletes dedicate themselves not only to their craft, but also to their academics and the values that define who we are as a school. When you see them compete, you are watching young people striving to be their best, representing their teams, their families, and their community with pride.
Game days like this are a special opportunity to celebrate their hard work and to recognize the coaches, teachers, and staff who pour countless hours into helping our athletes grow. They model commitment, resilience, and leadership—qualities that prepare our students for success far beyond the field, court, or track.
I also want to express our gratitude to the parents, volunteers, and supporters whose encouragement makes all of this possible. Your investment of time, energy, and enthusiasm helps build a culture where athletics thrive and where students feel supported in chasing their goals.
As we cheer today, let us do so with the highest level of sportsmanship. Let’s lift up our athletes, honor our opponents, and remember that every contest is an opportunity to showcase respect, discipline, and the joy of competition.
Thank you for being here with us. Together, let’s make today a memorable celebration of athletics, community, and school pride. Go Spartans!

AVCTL III & IV SCHOOLS
Welcome
Welcome to a brand new school year! The beginning of competition in a new school year brings with it a sense of energy and possibility, and I am especially excited this year as I get to support all the extracurricular activities across our school in my new role as Assistant Head of School. This role will give me the opportunity to see the impact participation in activities, at any age, has in molding our students’ character outside the classroom. Every time we are fortunate to support one of our teams or groups at an event, it showcases the hard work that is required by all involved.
At Wichita Collegiate School, we believe that all extracurricular activities are about much more than wins and losses. They’re about friendships formed during practices and rehearsals, the confidence that comes from trying something new, and the pride of giving your best effort. Our teams and activities provide a place for every student to grow, belong, and discover what it means to work together toward a common goal.
It is said that it takes a village to raise a child, and I would argue that it equally takes a village to run any of our events. One glance around our football field on a Friday night and this becomes clear–from the athletes and coaches to the cheerleaders, dancers, and marching band, to the many faculty and staff working the event at every gate, ticket booth, jumpy house, and practice field, to CPA cheerfully organizing and managing the concession stand and selling merchandise at the Shirt Shack, and to all the fans in the stands cheering on the teams. It takes all of us to create the spirit that makes Wichita Collegiate so meaningful and provides a lifetime of memories.
I look forward to an incredible year in all the activities at Wichita Collegiate School, and I thank you in advance for the role you will play in making every one proud to be a Spartan!

Welcome to the Collegiate Parent Association (CPA)! As a parent of a Collegiate student, you are a valued member of our group. Thanks to our parent support, we raised over $121,000 last year, allowing us to help fund special projects around the WCS campus. We are excited for another great year of supporting WCS, a school that our kids love!
A successful parent association requires the time and talents of us all so we hope that you will join us this year! Here are just a few ways that you can get involved with CPA:
• ATTEND our monthly meetings
• MEET and socialize with other WCS parents at a Spartan Social
• VOLUNTEER for anything from a one-hour volunteer shift to more involved opportunities on our volunteer hub
• SHOP the Shirt Shack for all of your Spartan gear
• PURCHASE an Athletics and/or Fine Arts Activity Pass
For detailed information on any of the above items, visit our webpage by scanning the QR code below; email us at cpa@wcsks.com; and follow us on Instagram @collegiateparentassociation.

Corban,
From the moment you were born, I knew you were special. Over the years, I’ve watched you grow into a young man who is respectful, resilient, and determined. You’ve faced challenges that could have shaken your spirit, but instead, you rose above and proved them wrong, again and again. That grit and character will take you farther than you can imagine, no matter what direction life leads you.
As you close this chapter and step into the next, know that my love and belief in you will never waver. I will always be in your corner, cheering you on through every win, every loss, and every in-between moment. You have what it takes to do great things, Corban, and I am endlessly proud to be your mom. Go chase your dreams and remember you are EVERYTHING!
Ali,
Always bold, courageous and excited to run towards your next challenge. We are so proud of you and look forward to see where your next adventure takes you.

Through both cheerleading and swim, you have learned important lessons about working together with others, never giving up, and the value of putting in effort. We have watched you develop confidence and strength, both physically and mentally, and have grace in victory and defeat.
