DUGOUT VIEW Welcome again everyone to the Greenfields Stadium. Snow and adverse weather conditions stunted our opportunity to atone for our away game at Warwick, with our Fixture versus Tividale being postponed. It’s a shame our ‘Home Trilogy’ of games couldn’t play out the way I would have hoped for. We welcome Uttoxeter today who sit just above us in the table and it provides us an ideal opportunity to bring our first 3 points of the season at Home to our loyal supporters. Uttoxeter Town have drawn one in their last 5 fixtures and also suffered a heavy loss to Romulus and so their form mirrors that similar to ourselves. It will be a competitive contest and one the lads are looking forward to. Oliver Torjussen will be looking to make his home debut for ourselves; Oliver is a strong tenacious midfielder who gives everything and has joined from Newcastle Town. My demand is to make this a landmark game. Six of our remaining nine League games are at home and this provides a unique opportunity for us to enjoy the comforts of home and bring valuable momentum needed to close the season with a Cup Final victory. There is loads still to play for - I guarantee you this as myself and my team continue to build a platform, an infrastructure and style of play you will be proud of. UTTOXETER TOWN FC The club was formed in 1972 when they split from Uttoxeter Amateurs after a disagreement on the clubs location. The club joined the North Premier Division of the Staffordshire County League. In the late 1970s the club stopped playing Saturday football and switched over to Sunday league football. About 30 years later the club switched back to Saturday football and joined the Staffordshire County Senior League. The 2012–13 season saw the club win Division one of the league. The 2014–15 season saw the become one of the founding members of the Midland Football League, joining division one. Despite finishing fifth in the division, the club dropped back down to the Staffordshire County Senior League for financial reasons. In their first season in the Staffordshire County Senior League the club entered the FA Vase for the first time, progressing to the third round before being eliminated by Coleshill Town.[4] The prize money they earned from their FA Vase cup exploits enabled them to overcome their financial issues and they rejoined Division one of the Midlands league the following season. In 2021 Uttoxeter were promoted to the Premier Division based on their results in the abandoned 2019–20 and 2020–21 seasons.

Conor Hughes

Dan joined us at the beginning of the current season; he is a confident striker player with an eye for goal

Conor is in his second spell with MDTFC having rejoined us during the current Season from AFC Wulfrunians. Conor is a powerful central defender who has an eye for scoring goals from set pieces. Conor’s previous clubs also includes Shifnal Town

Rune Corinaldi Rune joined MDTFC during the current Season, he is a powerful attacking forward who is a natural goal scorer. Runes’s previous clubs include Allscott Heath & Shawbury United

Callum Griffiths Callum, who is in his second spell with MDTFC, is an attacking wing back, who previously played for Foley Meir

Jamie Hands

Callum Jackson Callum is the youngest player in the squad and a bright football future awaits this versatile footballing young man. A local lad Callum came through the ranks of local youth football with Market Drayton Tigers.

Brendon Price

Jamie is in his second spell at MDTFC; he is a powerful combative midfield player who always gives 100%. Jamie’s previous clubs include St Martins & Whitchurch Alport

Mr Versatile – Brendon is our current Captain. Brendon is a strong left sided player who is comfortable playing in defence, midfield or attack. Brendon’s previous clubs include St Martins & Ellesmere Rangers

Jack is another of this Season’s new signings; Jack is a powerhouse of a midfield player Jack’s previous clubs include Shawbury United & TF3 FC

George Scott is an outstanding young goalkeeper – one to look out for (Mr Safe Hands).. George previous club was AFC Telford United.

Seydou Bamba

Nathan Brayford

Seydou is an experienced CB with a vast playing knowledge at Step 4 and 5 level. He first started his Non-League journey back in 2007 for Atherton Collieries. Seydou has played a variety of positions throughout his career. He started as left winger. As time went on, his defensive knowledge has helped him adapt to playing at left back before transitioning to CB, a position he wished he had started at an earlier age. Seydou has the desire to continue playing for as long as he can. He is keen to challenge himself. He has experience in helping his teams stay in their respective leagues with the likes of Ramsbottom and Squires Gate.

Nathan is a 28 year old box to box midfielder who has been playing with Stone Old Alleynians & Stafford town this year. Rich in form at present the manager has had to stave off a number of step 5 clubs for this signature. A native to these parts Nathan has previously lived in Market Drayton for 6 years and knows how much the team means to the town and is committed to make the club competitive and successful once again.

Reece Taylor

Reece is in his second spell at MDTFC: Recce is the powerhouse in central midfield.

Josh has been on the gaffer’s radar for quite some time and is long term admirer of his ability and the qualities he can bring to this football club.

Keefe Williams

A superbly gifted footballer with a wand of a left foot he boasts TNS & Caernarfon Town as his previous clubs within the Cymru Premier.

Keefe is proving to be an outstanding addition to the team; a strong right sided defender Keefe can also play as a central defender or attacking midfield – a very competitive player

Josh is looking forward to challenge of working with familiar faces and pushing the Gingerbreadmen up the table

Harlan Rodgers-Morris

Callum is young forward on loan from Newcastle Town; his previous clubs include Nantwich Town.

Harlan joins us on Dual Registration from Altrincham. He is an young exciting and energetic midfielder that brings another dimension to the team. Harlan is highly rated within the Altrincham ranks and has recently debuted for their First Team

Callum Parker

At 19 years old he is skilful forward who is comfortable on both feet and can play anywhere across the front three.
