Baccalaureate Minor Programs Minor programs are available in accounting, art, biblical and ministry studies, biology, business administration, chemistry, child development, communication, computer science, economics, English, exercise science, film studies, finance, history, international studies, marketing, mathematics, music, philosophy, political science, psychology, service leadership, sociology, Spanish, theatre and women’s studies. For specific minor program requirements, see the major department, listed alphabetically in this section of the catalog.
Master of Arts in Counseling Sixty credits are required to earn the Master of Arts in Counseling (MA) degree. Students in this program may choose a concentration in clinical mental health or addictions counseling. See page 384 for curricula.
Master of Arts in Teaching Thirty-six credits are required to earn the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree. Students in the MAT program will work toward secondary teacher certification. See page 394 for the specified curricula.
Candidates who successfully complete the prescribed 36 semester hour program will be awarded the Master of Business Administration degree. Students in the MBA Program may elect either the Applied Business option, the Finance option, the Health Systems Administration option, the Human Resources/Leadership option or the Market Development Option. Master of Education
Three degree programs are offered: Master of Education in Special Education, Master of Education in Instructional Technology (also an option with Specialist Certification), and a M.Ed. in Education with options for concentrations in Autism, Curriculum and Instructional Leadership, and Online Teaching. The M. Ed.in Education with the options for concentrations is 30 credits all other programs are 36 credits.
Master of Science In Nursing Thirty-six to thirty-nine credits are required to earn the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. Students in the MSN program may choose a concentration in administration, education or nursing informatics. A 48 credit administration/ education dual concentration is also offered. 2012-2013
