Faculty and Staff Aladdin Campus Dining Update
A lot of amazing things have happened over the summer in the Benedum Dining Hall! The Aladdin staff, along with Chef Kyle and Director Michelle, are beyond excited to start curating new experiences in the dining program.
Not only have we created a fun and exciting new menu, but we have also been working with the university on an upgraded POS system. This is exciting for staff/faculty members; you will now be able to purchase meal cards, and we will upload them to your ID badge.
To incentivize the new process, from August 11 to 22, 2025: Get one additional week for free when you purchase Four Weeks
Please inquire at the hostess station
The value remains unchanged; 5 meals cost $25 80 plus tax
Again, we are very excited about all the new enhancements for this year!

Introducing EdSights
EdSights is a student chatbot that empowers students by giving them a voice and the support they need to navigate college life The mission of EdSights is to build a studentcentered higher education system where every student’s voice shapes the learning environment of tomorrow. By supporting students in timely, efficient, and meaningful ways, we aim to enhance the return on their investment in education. Waynesburg University will launch this chatbot during the new student orientation, with messages coming from our mascot, Sting!
Sting is a behaviorally smart SMS chatbot that checks in with our students about their experience at Waynesburg University and provides resources for any challenges they may be facing. In addition, you can think of Sting as a "Siri" built for WU, in that it can answer questions about us
We are bringing Sting to life as an SMS chatbot as a way for us to support students, answer their questions, and communicate important information throughout the school year It is also a great way for Sting to hear student feedback and create a virtual community!
How can Sting help our students?
Reactive:
Responds 24/7 to any student-initiated questions about Waynesburg University How do I apply for scholarships?" to "What are the hours of the counseling center?"
Proactive:
Initiates conversations with students every 7-10 days to understand any issues that they are facing. From their sense of belonging to working a full-time job outside the classroom, these conversations aim to connect them to resources and staff members available at Waynesburg University to help.
