+ Call to Worship
Blessed be God, Eternal Majesty, Living Word, Abiding Spirit. Glory to God forever. Amen.
Jesus said, the way to see God’s dream for the world is to be born from above by the Spirit.
The way to take part in that dream, says Jesus, is to be born of water and Spirit. That gift is available today.
May we receive God’s Spirit and be made whole.
+ Hymn 1:
Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
+ Call to Confession
+ Prayer of Confession
Holy God, we know that you are always there to lead us, yet we somehow lose our way and fall back into fear. We confess that we have stumbled, and we recognize our need for you to lift us up and help us start again. Forgive us our failings, restore us to strength, and reconcile us with you, ourselves, and each other, through the power of Christ and the gift of your Spirit. Amen.
+ Declaration of Forgiveness
Friends, hear the Good News of the Gospel.
In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.

In name of the Father, in name of the Son, in name of Spirit, Three in One: Father, cherish me, Son, cherish me, Spirit, cherish me, Three all kindly. God, make me holy, Christ, make me holy, Spirit, make me holy, Three all holy. Three aid my hope, Three aid my love, Three aid mine eye, and my knee from stumbling. - from Prayers and Praises in the Celtic Tradition

Time for Reflection
Affirmation of Faith | The Westminster Confession of Faith, (1643) 6.011
There is but one only living and true God, who is infinite in being and perfection, a most pure spirit, invisible, without body, parts, or passions, immutable, immense, eternal, incomprehensible, almighty; most wise, most holy, most free, most absolute, working all things according to the counsel of his own immutable and most righteous will, for his own glory; most loving, gracious, merciful, long-suffering, abundant in goodness and truth, forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin; the rewarder of them that diligently seek him; and withal most just and terrible in his judgments; hating all sin, and who will by no means clear the guilty.

Offertory Anthem | Chancel Choir

Hark, I Hear the Harps Eternal Trad. Shape-Note Hymn Arr. Alice Parker (b. 1925-2023)
Hark, I hear the harps eternal, Ringing on the farther shore, As I near those swollen waters, With their deep and solemn roar. Hallelujah, praise the Lamb, Hallelujah, Glory to the great I AM. And my soul, tho’ stain’d with sorrow, fading as the light of day, Passes swiftly o ’ er those waters, To the city far away. Hallelujah, praise the Lamb, Hallelujah, Glory to the great I AM. Souls have cross’d before me, saintly, that land of perfect rest; And I hear them singing faintly in the mansions of the blest. Hallelujah, praise the Lamb, Hallelujah, Glory to the great I AM.
