Responders included Belmont Fire Department, West Mecklenburg Fire Department, City of Charlotte Fire Department, City of Gastonia Fire and Hazmat and commercial hazmat removal personnel. Jeffrey Booker. “Just look around you and see this incredible school.” BMS principal Susan Redmond remarked “This is a wonderful and amazing day. I have often driven down South Point Rd. and watched the school take shape.” With its rich dark red and tan brick coloration, not to mention sheer size and clas-

sic architectural appearance, the exterior of the school has already become a familiar and fabulous sight on South Point Rd. The sprawling campus and athletic fields add to the overall visual impact.
