COVID 19 has hit our industry hard. At Static World we appreciate this and understand how much the ‘new world’ will affect the way in which we work in the future.

The pandemic has created numerous challenges, none more so than in the production of Holiday Homes & Lodges, resulting in huge lead times and shortages with most of the main suppliers.

Due to this demand, we have also seen large premiums put on pre-owned stock, with limited availability.

These shortages have been pressured even more by an unprecedented demand for UK holidays and holiday home ownership.

Static World took over the sales operation in July 2020, just as the country was emerging from lockdown. We placed a highly-skilled sales team, consisting of one Sales Manager and two Sales Executives, working within the park.

I’ve known Clive for several years previous to the launch of Static World, when he would supply us with used caravans. Connected +Secure The importance of a stable wifi network on your parks As people become increasingly mobile and constantly in need of internet connection, the importance of wireless internet is strongly emphasized in our daily lives.

The provision of a wi-fi service for holiday park customers is a critical factor in improving their satisfaction and encourages their future return, repeat business and positive recommendation. The imminent staycation boom will also increase the number of people ‘working from home’ while holidaying on parks and who will need to have a fast, safe, secure reliable wifi service.

External Antenna Systems Static World is working with one of the market leaders in connectivity solutions and has installed state-of-theart wifi solutions in some of the UK’s major caravan parks. We have access to a number of different WiFi solutions which we are able to recommend to our customers. In Caravan WiFi In-Caravan wifi is our new service where we supply the caravan owner with their own router. This is even more reliable than standard external antenna caravan park solutions and also allows connection of Google Home/ Apple/smart TV’s etc.

A Smart Business Opportunity So it’s safe to say that your customers want wifi and that the best parks offer this service already. But it’s not just about keeping up with the competition and encouraging repeat visitors, it’s also a profit-making opportunity for your park.

Wifi can be free-to-access within certain areas of your site (e.g. communal areas) but can be chargeable for other areas, such as caravan and touring pitches. These fees would cover your rental expenses and provide an overall profit...so it pays to be smart!

Friendly WiFi is a government-initiated safe certification standard for public WiFi. The Friendly WiFi symbol tells you where the service meets minimum filtering standard - particularly in areas where children are present.

Barrier Systems and ANPR The security and safety of your staff and customers is paramount.

We can supply and install barrier systems that help control and restrict access to your park.

These barriers can also be linked to ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras to automatically allow access to authorised vehicles.

ANPR cameras store the registration numbers of vehicles with a date and time stamp and an image is taken as vehicles enter and leave.
