WHAT WE DO
A non-profit making organisation with all our income invested in developing and supporting the sport. Our aim is to provide and maintain a safe, enjoyable and welcoming sport for everyone, ensuring that we remain inclusive and provide opportunities and pathways for a diverse participant base. We continue to develop our qualifications, standards and services to ensure we offer flexible pathways and provide our workforce with further learning opportunities to build confidence and provide for skills development.
As the hub for our sport we maintain standards and provide guidance, advice and resources to encourage best practice and the safe enjoyment of the sport. We focus on ensuring effective communication through various channels to remain engaged with our participants and members. We play a crucial role in ensuring we secure funding to invest in and support our sport, offering our clubs and centres grant investment for growth and development opportunities.
MEMBERSHIP
PERSONAL INSURANCE
As a member you are automatically covered by our liability and personal accident insurance schemes. The personal accident insurance includes physiotherapy and dental cover. Over the last three years, our personal accident provider has paid out in excess of £48k in claims – a valuable benefit should you ever need to claim. MEMBERS ZONE

Upon joining as a member, you will gain additional access to certain restricted member only content and related resources. Access your online account where you can view and amend your personal details and membership profile. You can also view any qualifications and certificates you hold.
MAGAZINE & NEWSLETTER
BWSW hard copy magazine sent directly to your home four times a year, containing all the latest news and views plus relevant and useful articles. Access to the extended content online magazine. You will also upon sign-up receive regular newsletters during the peak season to keep you updated.
MEMBERSHIP CARD
Your personalised membership card will be sent to you shortly after joining and will display any current qualifications you hold for the season.
Our aim is to ensure that our membership package, service and support demonstrates value for your membership subscription. We welcome all to be a part of our community sport.

ANTI-DOPING
The UK Anti-Doping Rules / Anti-Doping Rules of BWSW apply to all persons licensed (whether permanently, provisionally, temporarily or otherwise) to participate in waterskiing and / or wakeboarding, for the length of the licence period, in accordance with the British Water Ski & Wakeboard rules whether or not the licence holder is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.
Whether finding an affiliated / accredited club / centre online, accessing rules, technical matters or providing information on our benefits and qualifications – we are available to help and support your needs and involvement with our sport. BWSW maintains a great deal of resources and develops policies to support your sport.
LICENCES
Access competition licences via our website and gain access to the international Event Management System (EMS) to enter competitions relevant to your discipline.
NOTE: It is a condition of continuing as a BWSW member that you submit to all the rules and procedures of BWSW. These include without limitation the safeguarding policies and the safeguarding regulation, together with the UK Anti-Doping Rules.
