Nothing fights fire better than foam, and no one does foam systems better than Waterous. We’ve led the charge in foam technology worldwide, and have more compressed air foam systems (CAFS) in the field than any other manufacturer. Why? The reasons speak for themselves. • World-class training by certified experts • Leading edge foam technology and development • Industry-best warranty on foam equipment • Broad offering of products to fit any scale or situation No two products demonstrate these Waterous hallmarks more aptly than Advantus® — the most advanced foam system on earth or Aquis™ — the perfect blend of features and value in a foam proportioner. These two models represent the gold standard for technical innovation, fire-field-tested durability and Class A foam mixing performance. All of which is why more firefighters worldwide turn to Waterous for their foam system needs than anyone else.

FOAM PROPORTIONER

INDUSTRY BEST WARRANTY

LAPTOP DIAGNOSTIC

The Advantus® Foam System leads the industry in technology and in support. Each model comes with a 2-year warranty, fully integrated product service solutions and lifetime support.

The Advantus® Foam System features instant, accurate tech support via a laptop installed with Advantus software or using our Internet based diagnostic testing and repair.

ADVANTUS® 3 • Foam Pump: Hydra-Cell Positive Displacement Pump • Foam Output: 3 GPM @ 150 psi – (11.3 l/min @ 10.3 bar) • Pump Motor: 1/2 HP (.40 kW) • Maximum Operating Pressure: 450 psi (32 bar)

ADVANTUS 6 ADVANTUS® 3

•Foam Pump: Hydra-Cell Positive Displacement Pump •Foam Output: 6 GPM @ 150 psi (22.6 l/min @ 10.3 bar) •Pump Motor: 1 HP (.80 kW) •Maximum Operating Pressure: 450 psi (32 bar)

ADVANTUS® 6 GPM (l/min)

It takes more than concentrate and water to create the world’s most effective fire suppressing foam. It demands world-class engineering coupled with

breakthrough technology to get it right. In other words, it takes Advantus®, the world’s most advanced foam system.

FOUR SENSORS FOR SUPERIOR FOAM

LONG LASTING HYDRA-CELL® PUMP

Features four dedicated sensors, two of which use advanced conductivity technology. This allows The Advantus® Foam System to monitor the foam/water ratio — even in ultra low flow conditions — as well as the water temperature. Advantus then makes automatic, on-the-fly adjustments that ensure optimum foam effectiveness with the least amount of waste.

INTUITIVE CONTROLS, SIMPLE OPERATION Manufactured with stainless steel buttons that last longer than rubber buttons and a digital display that shows flow per minute, total volume of water discharge, total amount of concentrate used and which foam tank is in use. The display also warns operators when concentrate tanks are low. For even easier operation, The Advantus® Foam System can be installed to power up automatically once the pump is in gear.

Industry exclusive 12-volt or 24-volt powered Wanner Hydra-Cell pump is manufactured to handle high viscosity fluids, even with suspended abrasive particles.

DURABLE PROCESS MANIFOLD Manufactured from Schedule 10 316 stainless steel for long, reliable life. Features victaulic groove connections at each end for easy connection to the apparatus plumbing.

LEADING EDGE MICROPROCESSOR CONTROL A 16-bit mixed signal microcontroller with 60kB flash memory, 2kB RAM and 12-bit analog to digital receiver converter compares and calculates readings from the incoming water conductivity probe, temperature probe, flowmeter and foam solution conductivity probe.

Dual Tank Selector No single class of foam can extinguish all flames. That’s why Waterous offers the Dual Tank Selector. With it, your apparatus can be armed with tanks of Class A and Class B foam. The electrically actuated Dual Tank Selector is powered by a 12- or 24-volt gear motor, and allows you toggle back and forth as needed using a 3 position rocker switch located on the operator’s panel. To ensure zero cross contamination, the system also provides a clean water flush of the foam concentrate pump and foam piping.

Overboard Pick-Up Kit The Waterous Class B Foam Overboard Pick-Up Kit enables you to add Class B foam quickly to your Waterous foam system without having to have an onboard foam tank. The pick-up connection is plumbed into the foam system of the vehicle. With one connection, Class B Foam can be introduced quickly and easily.

It’s not easy to properly proportion fire-suppressing Class A foam. To get the ratios right, you need to compensate for a number of variables. Doing so demands worldclass engineering coupled with dependable flow meter

technology. In other words, you need The Aquis™ Foam Proportioner from Waterous. It delivers a level of performance and reliability typically reserved for more expensive Class A foam proportioners.

SIZED TO YOUR NEEDS

MICROPROCESSOR CONTROLLER

The Aquis™ Foam Proportioner comes in two sizes (1/3 hp or 1/2 hp) to suit your existing equipment and fire fighting situations.

16-bit mixed signal controller with 60 kB flash memory, 2 kB RAM and 12-bit analog to digital converter.

DEPENDABLE PUMP Equipped with a 12-volt or 24-volt electric motor driven positive displacement triplex plunger foam concentrate pump housed within a a non-corroding brass body.

DURABLE FLOW METER The Aquis™ Foam Proportioner comes equipped with a stainless steel paddlewheel-type flowmeter with stainless steel bearings and carbide axle for improved accuracy and longer life.

The Waterous FoamFill™ Foam Tank Refill System is completely-automated making it easier, safer, cleaner and quicker to top off the foam tank or tanks in your apparatus. The FoamFill™ Foam Tank Refill can be used with both Class A and B foam and features

a dripless coupling available in either brass or stainless steel in 3/4-inch or 1-inch sizes. The unit is powered by a 12- or 24-volt motorized pump. When turned on, a microcontroller identifies if tanks are low, and automatically fills them without overflowing using a stainless steel wick wand and six feet of reinforced hose.

INTUITIVE OPERATOR PANEL Features an ultra-bright, blue LED display that’s easy to read — even in direct sunlight. Also manufactured with stainless steel, long life buttons and UV stable polycarbonate overlay labeling.

LAPTOP DIAGNOSTIC The Aquis™ Foam Proportioner features instant, accurate tech support via a laptop installed with Aquis software or using our Internet based diagnostic testing and repair.
