Philip Swan 3-hand ETA-2824-2 - A blast from my watch buying past!
In this Why Did I Buy thread, I'm revisiting another watch I've owned for about two years now. This one being my Philip Swan ETA-2824-2 3-hand Automatic model # 8221140025. First off, I bought this watch because I LOVE Philip watches in both auto and quartz formats and I own a bunch of them. Other than being a Philip, I liked the 42mm case size which is on the larger size of the scale for a watch in the Swan line, when coupled with the 53mm lug to lug measurement this watch has a very good wrist presence. I liked the pure simplicity of the dial, the jewel like fit and finish on the case, the ETA automatic movement, the mesmerizing case back and the very comfortable leather strap with dual deployant clasp. I guess I like it all.
