Thanks to WTBQ Radio, 1110 AM 93.5 FM, the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce has a brand new half-hour live show which airs every Monday from 12:30 to 1:00pm. Host Michael Johndrow, Chamber Executive Director, invites the every Chamber member to be his guest. The first half of the show will be the Chamber’s opportunity to announce new events and programs. Thousands tune in each hour to listen to WTBQ’s unique programming. The station continues to define the meaning of “shop local” and has kept advertising rates at the same level for many years so that businesses, service organizations, nonprofits, professionals—the entire Hudson Valley—may be a part of WTBQ. The year 2015 is going to be a good year if 2014 is any indication. The Warwick Valley, according to many of our members, had a strong year economically. Let’s hope it continues! Recently our area was written up by the New York Times on two different occasions; one in the Travel Section and one in the Dining Section. Seems the word is out about Warwick! Congratulations to all the businesses that were mentioned in both articles.
The Community Showcase (previously known as EXPO) was a success for the 8th year in a row. Changes were made this year to make it fresh and new, such as being able to sell on-site with the ability to access wifi which aided in product demonstrations. In addition, we added a $1000 cash prize drawing for the community and a free booth drawing for our vendors.
The Chamber endeavors to provide exciting events for our members in order to promote their businesses and our Valley. Please make sure you review “Dates to Remember” on the front of this newsletter.
