WOOD FIRES

There is something incredible about the look, feel and sound of an open woodburning fireplace. It is therapeutic to be around flickering flames, adding an instant ambience to a room while encouraging conversation, contemplation, romance and relaxation.

General with traditional grate

General SI

The General SI wood fire is built for efficiency, durability, and ease of use. It was the first fireplace designed and manufactured by Warmington in 1994. The innovatively designed multi-tube heat exchanger extracts more heat from the flames. It has internal fire bricks that aid in heat retention, and the full-width damper blade gives control across the entire width of the fire back. It has a wetback option to aid with water heating and lower your power bill.

* We use advanced CAITEC (Combustion Air Intake Technology). Air is drawn from an external source to ensure that the open fire has pre-heated combustion air. This maximises efficiency while maintaining the home at constant pressure equilibrium and reduces the risk of back drafting.

Twin with traditional grate

Twin

The Twin sided wood fire is based on the General SI design and can be built into a dividing wall between two rooms sharing the same air space. It creates a great visual connection and enjoyment in both rooms. One side of this fire is open, and the other has a beautiful glass swing door with a wooden handle. The Twin fire works well in a large area creating two designated smaller areas, or between two rooms. This fire is also available in a freestanding option making it the perfect room divider in a large open-plan area.

Corner

The Corner wood fire has a distinctive look with two sides open. Available in the General SI and Traditional, it offers a large view of the fire and produces increased radiant heat because of its design. With a choice of a left-sided or right-sided design, this fire provides a creative way to connect two spaces and create interesting focal points in your living space. An optional gas log lighter is available.

The Traditional wood fireplace brings modern-day technology to the classic open brick fireplace of the past. You can customise your fireplace to your specific interior style. You have the choice between Traditional or Westminister firebox shape, a selection of brick profile size and pattern and a choice of grate type. Custom sizes available.

Evoque

The Evoque enclosed wood fire is the perfect choice if you are looking for the flexibility of an open fire combined with the efficiency of an enclosed wood burner. It uses a controlled air supply, which maximises the amount of heat produced and keeps wood consumption, ash and soot to a minimum. It is a statement piece with a full firebrick interior. The large glass door can slide up for an unrestricted view of the fire and swing open for easy firewood loading and maintenance. The drop-down glass pane can be utilised as a spark guard to ensure safety when the fire is unattended. Rural only.

Evoque grate

The Rumford wood fire has a tall and shallow firebox with angled sides maximising heat retention and reflecting heat back into the room. It was named after Count Rumford (Sir Benjamin Thompson) who designed it to achieve maximum heat and a large view of the flames. The shape of the firebox, combined with the straight back and narrow chimney opening, gives it an extraordinary look.

Rumford with classic grate

Freestanding Cabinet

The Freestanding wood fire makes a grand statement and feature in any room. It consists of the firebox of either the General SI or the Twin fire with a cabinet built around it. It is available in a Square or Taper Top Cabinet design.

The glass door is only available on the double sided Twin freestanding fire making it the perfect room divider in a large open area.

Warmington produces a wide range of accessories & spare parts. There has been design changes to our standard range of fires over the years, but no matter how old your Warmington fire is, we can help with any spare parts and accessories you may need.

n Flue Kits: By testing and fitting all our fires with specific flue kits, we tune the whole wood fire system to achieve optimal emission, efficiency, and clearances. All Warmington fires come with a tested flue. We tune our flue kits specifically to each firebox to ensure optimal emissions. This creates the best performance, keeping fuel consumption and cost low and ultimately reducing your environmental footprint.

n Grates: We manufacture a signature range of high quality steel grates. Customise your fire with your choice of grate.

n Spark guards: When you have an open fire, safety is paramount in a home. We have freestanding and fitted sparkguards to fit both our open wood and gas fireplaces.

n Hearths: We produce a range of steel hearths powder coated in matt black. The hearths can be laid directly over a combustible floor to protect against heat, spilt ash and hot embers.

n Wetbacks: We have a range of wetbacks and hot water boosters, assisting in heating your water and reducing energy costs.

n Ash Pans / Bricks / Baffles: We stock replacment parts of all of these.

n Logs, pebbles & coals for gas fires: We sell a range or gas fire accessories to give your fire an authentic look. Choose from coals, logs, pebbles and rocks. It comes in various sizes and colours and can be arranged to fit your style.

n Gas Log Lighter: Lighting your wood fire with paper is a thing of the past. Simply press the button and the built-in gas flare or rail burner will ignite your wood to start a fire.

Warmington Gas fires have the look and ambience of an open wood fire but with maintenance and installation advantages. It’s easy to keep clean, and heat is available at the push of a button. Choose between decorative logs, coals and pebbles for an authentic flame effect.

General SG/EG

The General SG/EG gas fireplace is for you if you are looking for an open flame fireplace with the luxury of instant heat and without the hassle of cleaning required with an open wood fire. It features a unique built-in down draft diverter system for safer use and a cleaner environment. This fireplace can be installed into an existing chimney for easy home renovations. Available in a wide range of sizes, facia types and grate styles.

SG Models – Manual Operation only

The fire is turned on and off with a piezo ignition dial at the gas burner, with a choice of flame setting.

EG Models – Electronic Operation

The fire can be operated by one of the following options: to be selected at time of purchase:

l Remote Control. This has full modulating flame setting and fan operation.

l Wall Switch On/Off. A single wall switch to turn the fire on and off (flame setting is fixed)

l Wall Switch On/Off and High/Low. A double wall switch to turn the fire on and off and set the flame to high or low.

Twin Gas fire with pure grate

Twin SG/EG

The Twin gas fire can divide your open-plan space and create two designated zones on either side of the fire. Based on the General EG fire, it has all its great features, including the advantage of enjoying the heat from both sides. Engineered for comfort and versatility, the Twin gas fire combines radiant heat with good design, to create an elegant and bold statement that brings two rooms together.

BFG with modern grate

RETROFIT & ZERO CLEARANCE FIRES

n Our Retrofit Gas or Wood fireplace was created to replace old brick fireplaces to improve efficiency and provide modern technology utilizing radiant and convection heating. They can be installed into an existing or redundant fireplace. Manufactured as small as 440mm wide to accommodate the smaller, more traditional fireplaces and as large as 1100mm wide. Ideal for upgrades to bungalows and villa homes to improve the efficiency and performance of traditional cast iron or coal fireplaces.

n If you want to keep the traditional look of your existing fireplace and register, we can use your old register and fit a new metal firebox and flue system. This will allow you to keep the authentic look of your old fireplace, but with modern technology making your fireplace more efficient. Take a look at our Zero Clearance Gas or Wood fires.
