Even though all teams were competing for the individual team trophy and the title, the Sponsor team competition gave the World Final an extra boost.

encouragement and enthusiasm. This was the second time we hosted the World Final in Dubai of the World Amateur Match Race.
This year, 72 players from 16 nations spent fantastic days in Dubai.
Each team met at the airport in Dubai before spending the next five nights at the hotel. Day 1 of the trip featured a yacht party, while Days 2, 3, and 4 featured golf at world-class courses.
At Dubai's famous beach club, BLABLA, we culminated with a SMASH of a farewell party and award ceremony.
Planning for the World Amateur Match Race World Final Season Start 2 in April 2023 begins gradually.

Four women, two "mixed" teams, and one female team qualified for the second World Final in Dubai.
The Dutch team leader Marije Van Koolwijk and her Scottish partner Brian Stewart were part of our local "mix" squad from Dubai.
Dermot & Eveline O'Grady, a Swiss couple, made up the other "mix" team.
Luiza Von Rymon & Sylvie Sandmann, two friends from Germany, who qualified for the World Final with an incredible 6 won and 1 lost match, were a pleasure to welcome.
We hope more female teams will register for the World Amateur Match Race as they sign up and advance to the World Final in Dubai in 2023.
We must highlight as a tournament that this is also open to women.

The remaining players from Season Start 2 must be extra motivated to qualify for the World Final in April after seeing all the pictures and videos from our last World Final.
The last round of Season Start 2 is presently being played in the winner bracket, while round 5 is being played in the loser bracket.
We are anxious to find out which teams will advance to the 2023 playoffs, which will begin on January 7th 2023, and everything will end with a World Final in Dubai in April 2023.
