Goal Setting

If you’re a first-year undergraduate curious about the possibilities available in the realm of business, the Bridge2Business program is a great place to start. Designed to evaluate awareness of career pathways in business and business-related fields, Bridge2Business is built around a series of activities and workshops, engaging students from a wide range of perspectives and those who seek foundational business understanding. You’ll learn how to build a personal brand and set goals, and you’ll benefit from coaching, market treks, and alumni networking. Bridge2Business also introduces you to a variety of internship opportunities.

My two biggest takeaways from B2B are the fact that there are so many different companies out there — not just the big name ones, so it is important to seek those out as well. The second takeaway is to start now. It is the little things that I do today to better my knowledge, better my network and better myself which are ultimately going to set me apart and set me down the right pathways to be in the career space I want.

One of the most valuable lessons I took away was the importance of crafting a concise and impactful professional pitch. I realized that in professional settings, first impressions can make a significant impact. Therefore, learning to distill information to its essential components can be a key factor in making a successful pitch.

5 WEEKS Limited Scholarships AVAILABLE**

Kick start your business journey with our Summer Management Program (SMP). It’s an intensive 5-week experience set in Summer Session 1, designed to accelerate your learning and provide a sneak peek into the dynamic world of business. This program is a gateway for aspiring students who are curious about business to immerse themselves in business, hands-on projects, and networking opportunities – setting the stage for future success.

Regardless of your major, interests, or career aspirations, business will touch your life. The Summer Management Program is a great way to learn the fundamentals – and perhaps jump start a new adventure.

Deciding to participate in the SMP was one of the most rewarding choices I have made for my future. My educational experience was enriched through real-life experiences from professors coming from the workforce to teach us or from working on live cases that incorporated all the elements in each of the modules we have learned over the five weeks. SMP should definitely be a program that non-business majors should highly consider participating in so they can still learn the critical principles of business.
