DAVID YURMAN VISITS LEE MICHAELS AS GUEST OF HONOR FOR THE JACKSON SYMPHONY LEAGUE FUNDRAISER. The Jackson Symphony League is an auxiliary group founded in 1955 to support the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra. Over the years, league volunteers have donated millions of dollars to MSO and given generously of their time by helping in the office, assisting at concerts and receptions, orchestrating the annual ticket drive and providing hospitality to both the orchestra and visiting guest artists. Beautiful music! That’s what happened when Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry served as lead sponsor of the Jackson Symphony League luncheon this past May. A major fundraiser for the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, the annual event was staged under a festive tent in front of Lee Michaels, located in Renaissance at Colony Park in Ridgeland, MS. The event featured worldrenowned designer David Yurman as guest of honor. Patrons were greeted with a champagne reception then treated to an elegant lunch, replete with music by the Symphony Orchestra String Quartet and an address by David Yurman. After dining, they were invited into the Lee Michaels store to personally meet David Yurman and view his exquisite collection of jewelry. “The store was filled with David Yurman enthusiasts,” says Tony Sanders, manager of Lee
Michaels’ Jackson, MS location. “It was a terrific afternoon and so wonderful to see our clients interact with Mr. Yurman and get a chance to view some of his one-of-a-kind pieces.” “Speaking for Lee Michaels, we were incredibly honored to have David Yurman visit our store,” says Chad Berg, vice president of Lee Michaels. “To have this world-renowned jewelry designer meet our clients and talk about his exquisite creations was a tremendous compliment to Lee Michaels and a great attraction for the Jackson Symphony League’s fundraiser.” Michelle Alexander, luncheon chairman, expressed her gratitude to Lee Michaels for another year of sponsorship. “Chad Berg and Tony Sanders have been so generous to the Jackson Symphony League.
