As we approach November and December, the Division is looking at Conclave, the election of our new Lieutenant Governor. If you or someone you know are interested in running for LTG please let a Division Team member for the Big Island that would be myself or Jonathan Okamura (from Hilo High) and we can give you more information.

Fall Rally

September 1, 2019 At Fall Rally, which took place at Region Training Conference, our club participated in several activities to raise money for Pediatric Trauma Program. During the advisor auction, we bought our advisor, who gave us an advantage during the games. We then chose people from our club for each game, and they did their best to beat the other clubs in things like lego construction, q-tip darts, and web toss. All the money from the advisor auction went towards PTP, and overall it was extremely successful

Kapiolani Elementary School H ealth and Wellness Fair

September 26, 2019

The Kapiolani Elementary School Health and Wellness Fair was a success. The many people that came learned about healthy eating, exercise, car safety, and even CPR. The Key Club members that attended this project assisted with activities such as: a smoothie bike, Zumba, and serving healthy snacks and sandwiches. The main purpose for this fair was to encourage parents and their children to maintain healthy lifestyles. It was fun to watch how the Kapiolani students participated in the many activities that were there. I hope to do more projects like this in the future. - Taylor Evangelista

September 27, 2019

On September 27, 2019, Waiakea High School Key Club helped with the Ladies’ Night Out event at Edith Kanakaole Stadium. Ladies’ Night Out is an event for women who have gone through tragedies, for them to have an enjoyable night. Key Clubbers were split into three groups, one helped prepare the food, another served food in a line, and another walked around the stadium serving food to volunteers. Overall, it was a success and we were able to serve everyone who attended. - Tyren Ignacio

Meet the Executive Board Social Chairs Dakota Brigado-Tavares and Blaize Wakakuwa Our club social chairs work to plan and organize several socials for our club throughout the year. Socials throughout the year include Connect the K’s, officer induction/beginning of the year social, and a Christmas social. Socials are a fun way for members of our club to get to know each other and to interact with other members of the Kiwanis family.
