NOTE:
In the late 1990s the Kinngait Studios began a collaborative project with Sattler’s Glass Studio in Nova Scotia, most notably producing the exceptional full scale stained glass window for the John Bell Chapel at Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario in 2004. The present work was produced as part of the Kinngait Studios and Sattler’s Glass Studio collaboration. The processes used to produce the glasses are reminiscent of the traditional creation of prints at Cape Dorset studios, in which images were first drawn by the artists and then translated into small editions of prints by talented printers.
