A club that focuses its meetings on issues that may be considered "taboo" or "against social norms" is Ladies First.

President Khushi Patel explains, "Learning from everyone's differing experiences and perspectives on various topics has continued to shape my own."

Ladies First provides an outlet for those passionate about female issues, and allows valuable points to arise from discussion. Khushi explained that women's roles in society are "crucial and a necessity for a successful and functioning society." She also discussed the topics that have been commonly acknowledged at their meetings, including "the fashion industry, the role of media in perpetuating stereotypes, the wage gap, internalized misogyny, the modeling industry, and beauty standards."

The officers of Ladies First research each topic to spread awareness of the struggles women face in their day-to-day lives.

Khushi also discusses the importance of women in a functioning society. She emphasizes that we need to create an environment that allows women to become anything they dream of being. Khushi expressed, "Encouraging and making a place for women in all sectors of life, in any field they want to pursue in society is the bare minimum to repair the ignorance we have faced generation after generation and give women the representation, and rights that we so wholeheartedly deserve."
