CONGRATULATIONS! You or your son/daughter has finally reached the 7th grade and are now able to join the student ministry of Pentecostal Assembly Church, AMPLIFY! Or, perhaps you’ve only recently moved to Eau Claire, or were invited by an awesome friend to come check us out. Either way, woohoo! YOU’RE HERE!!! ...so, what exactly does that mean??? AMPLIFY STUDENT MINISTRIES (or ASM) is a community of Apostolic young people, as young as grade 7 and all the way through college (by the time a student is college-age, we encourage them to take more of a mentor-status, as we have a separate ministry—Necktie Revolution—that’s geared to meeting their needs as a group). We meet on a regular basis, including our weekly Wednesday night youth service at 7:30PM in our fully-decked-out youth center, to have fun together, encourage each other in our mutual passion of serving Jesus Christ, worshipping, and growing together in God. You can find our purpose statement on the inside front cover of every VolumeMAX’D. Our other activities include a monthly section-wide youth rally known as a Riot Night. These take place in cities around northwestern Wisconsin, and rides are always available. Twice a year there are big WI-wide youth events, Winter Youth Convention (just after Christmas) in Appleton, WI and Youth Camp (late June) in Shawano. These are EPIC, and every member of Amplify is strongly encouraged to attend! There are also TONS of ways to get involved! The more student-run Amplify is, the better! There are opportunities to get involved with our worship band, tech ministry, drama team, greeting, old-fashioned cleaning– basically anything, just ask! You can stay connected with Amplify by becoming a ―Fan‖ on Facebook (facebook.com/theamplify), following us on twitter (we are @Ampl1fy), visiting our website (www.theamplify.com), & subscribing to this news-zine (email volumemaxd@gmail.com). -T.J. & Kirstie Heidenreich, Student Pastors

“One generation shall praise they works to another; and shall declare thy mighty acts.” - Psalm 145:4 Sometimes, it gets too easy to shut out the stories of others and focus solely on our

to do a couple of things this year. I laid out a list of great things other young people had done in the Bible—such as Mary being chosen to carry Jesus, Daniel refusing to change his identity, and so on. But before I reiterate for their benefit their chalown life’s narrative. We’re lenge, I want to challenge members of every generation to take time this most invested in our own to do more than just notice plot’s twists and turns, and we year there are children running around have the tendency miss really big, everywhere. Don’t just boss them really obvious developments that around or tell them to behave. I are going on right before our very mean, do that, too, but then eyes. Like the fact that you’re not *declare* something to them. Invest some of the faith you have in our as young as you used to be... great God and trust it will mean ...and neither are those around something to them, too. the crowd and stand for God! Juniors/Seniors: Your identity is established, but you’re too willing to rebel against the wrong forces in your life in order to make others recognize your soon-coming independence. With your increased understanding, don’t use it to fight your parents harder – SHOCK THEM with your maturity and willingness to *help* them instead of swindle them. Get behind your Pastor, your church, and don’t be afraid to ask questions! If you look for answers now you won’t be fed lies later. Like Moses, establish whose side you’re on: rebel against Pharaoh, but meekness before God. College: You have no idea how old you look to these other groups, even though you still feel like a kid. Regardless, you’re starting to feel too old or maybe too cool to be around younger kids. Guess what? You’re wrong. Your heart needs to be pumping with a love and a desire to lead the charge of fulfilling Psalm 145:4. You need to lay aside logic and remember that you started this thing in faith, and if you’re not going to be a part of a fading generation, you need to keep faith at the forefront! Like David, remember: you have a CAUSE to fight for. T.J. Heidenreich, Student Pastor
