The Villa House concept reimagines tropical living with a strong connection to nature. This design embraces an open living layout, fostering direct contact with the surrounding environment.

A central patio not only enhances ventilation but also acts as a focal point, creating a seamless transition between the interior and exterior spaces. The house is divided into two blocks, with the first block housing the open living areas and providing access to a green terrace.

The second block is dedicated to the bedrooms, allowing for flexibility as they can open up to both the central patio and a private balcony that frames the landscape.

This house boasts flexible indoor-outdoor spaces, seamlessly extending around the central patio and green terrace, creating a harmonious blend of nature and architecture.

The elongated kitchen space is a hub of activity, offering a direct connection to the outdoor dining area and the inviting green roof, enhancing the living experience with a sense of openness and versatility.

Concept and Visualizations

The Tower House is a compact footrpint proposal that fosters fosters compelling contextual relations with the environment.

The first two floors house private bedrooms, while the third floor features social and living spaces with panoramic views of the landscape and lush vegetation. There’s even the possibility of a rooftop area on the fourth floor.

This design creates intriguing spatial relationships with the use of balconies and terraces, all protected by an adaptable solar-shading skin. The inclusion of a direct guest entrance to the third floor adds convenience, while the more private acces to the house has a subtle parking space hidden in the topography.

The third floor of the house serves as a unique social space, offering an exceptional vantage point to immerse in the beauty of nature.

Nearly half of this floor is dedicated to a protected terrace, providing an inviting outdoor oasis to connect with the surrounding environment.

Configuration

A fourth type of apartment is added to the first three floors.

Height of the Building

The fourth floor’s void is eliminated and the building is lowered to six floors.

Emergency Exit

A second vertical circulation is added.

Terraces and Pergolas

The first four floors consist of apartment type A, B and D. All of this units have private terraces and pergolas on the outdoor spaces.

Apartment Building Design Development

Entrance Park

The parking structure is limited to 17 spaces to reduce its size and a park is designed on its roof. Part of the design consists of planters and decks to control the weight on the structure.

Central Atrium

The building is divided in two, creating an atrium which holds the main vertical circulation and a gathering staircase with views to the landscape.

Circulation and skin

The circulation structure consists of wooden frames that serve as transition spaces in between a protective skin and planters.

Circulation and skin

The operable skin allows different levels of privacy between the circulation spaces and the apartments. They allow privacy while mantaining the possibility for crossed ventilation.
