Hello everyone and welcome to the 20th edition of Vocalise, the community magazine for St. Pauls, St. Werburghs, St. Agnes and Montpelier. My name is Julia and I’m the new project coordinator for Vocalise. Let me briefly introduce myself. I come from Warsaw and I first came to the UK in 2016 to study. Since then, I have been moving around to finally end up in Bristol over a year ago with an intention to stay just for a few months. As you can probably guess, I fell in love with the city almost immediately. The more I was getting to know the area, the less I wanted to leave. During the past year, we have been asked to social distance, stay home and isolate and this has finally changed. I’m very proud to be a part of Vocalise and its beautiful and diverse community during this important moment. This is the first edition I have designed and I really hope you will like it. I would like to thank you all for reading the magazine and providing so many amazing things to write about. I would also like to especially thank all the writers and artists for their contribution. Vocalise is created by local people and for local people so if there is anything you’d like to write about, share or give us your feedback on, please get in touch. Our email address is info@vocalisemagazine.org and the deadline for the next issue is the 10th of November. I wish you all the best, Julia
