Introducing...

My name is Haz also known as HazardOne. The new piece on BS2 Lofts was recently completed as a result of some funding I was awarded from Arts Council England to create the tallest mural I've ever painted. The Develop Your Creative Practice fund is specifically for creatives to focus their time on an activity that will elevate their practice and allow the time to work on something new and developmental.

many industries and it’s all about taking up space.

Painting huge murals is my way of contributing to that - it's definitely one way of taking up space!

I paint a lot of portraits so I wanted to create something that was empowering and relatable to many. The theme behind this particular design is all about illumination and taking time to ignite the light that drives and motivates you - particularly after the year we've all had!

I’ve painted many murals but never buildings over 3 storeys tall and I wanted to see what I could achieve if given the opportunity to paint on a taller surface. I love creating artwork that inspires people to be unashamedly themselves. Women are still underrepresented in many ways in the world and across Following this, I'm excited to be collaborating with some key figures in the St.Pauls community to create a large community art project - this is where my passion really lies, using artwork as a tool to communicate and represent through workshops and skill sharing sessions!
